Morning MP runs, now we're using the same playbook!

Just busting chops a bit. If we didn't have different views on the forum there's really no point.

Absolutely. We all want something a bit different in CR, and that's why I advocate trying each of the venues to decide what it is that you like. The HDR works well for many, and it's not an option for others. I used to be in the latter category, but then I stayed there (by necessity), and really enjoyed the experience. The off-season rates are ok, but the high season is just too expensive for me.

The cabs at the curb charge four dollars. The licensed taxis try to do this too if they are parked at the curb.. Catch a taxi that is moving and ask mil a L'Amistad or Sportsman's. If they say no, wait for the next one. At the curb they are sharing what they get with the guys at the door who direct the customers to the cab. I don't care what time it is I don't pay 2000. Many of the drivers are driving for someone else. The owner of the cab gets a percent of what they make. To cheat the owners, they don't use the meter. `1000 from the Del Rey to the Sportsman's or L'Amistad includes a tip of at least fifty cents. It is not a big thing to overpay. The problem is they think you are a rich gringo and it is okay to rip you off because you are stupid.

I agree with ya Pops, but most of the time it ain't worth it for the hassle of $2 extra bucks. Most guys are too busy thinking about their upcoming session to care.

Be careful because some of the taxis driving by try to pull that 2k shit too if you hail them in the vicinity of DR.

Either say "maria' or "un mil" or take the next one.

Last weekend I had 3 different taxistas refuse to take me on such a short route. When I told them where I was going, HR-Taormina or the reverse they said no, the route too short=the fare too low. I guy said ok, after I offered him 2k, after waiting outside the DR for 10 minutes for an unoccupied taxi.
