Thanks for the laugh-priceless

Quick follow up question. How much will it affect my interactions with the chicas if I look a little different? First off I am over 6'6" tall with a mohawk and a rather unique goatee and tattoos. My usual style of dress is blue jeans, tshirt, combat boots. I really hope I will be accepted in CR since I have already reserved my airline ticket and hotel room.

Others can respond better but bottom-line--NO SWEAT! There may be a small shock at first but a little convo, a little positive interaction and then it will be "Gettin' down to biz" time. If you don't cut a mighty swath through the Chicas, I'd be mighty surprised. Walking down the street you might even be a role model for younger Ticos (though possibly to their mama's distress).
Grace us with a Trip Report when you're leaving please, to confirm or deny what I've written.

I don't think you should have any problems. There are lots of goth and punk style guys and girls down there, so, other than the fact that those people are usually not hanging out at HDR, HLL and Sportsmans Lodge, they should be used to the look.

As far appearance, I just say clean. Be confident yet humble, polite and clean andyou will be fine.

As others have said, a fat wallet doesn't hurt either.

Thanks guys. I just finalized my trip yesterday. July 31 to August 7 at SL. I will just leave my boots at home since they will take too long to get off my feet when it is time to get sweaty. Looking forward to meeting all of you in CR!

No reference being made to individual style, but I've seen alot of disgusting pigs walk out the door with a chica. It always makes me wonder how low one could go for money.

Mongers who keep thinking it's all about what's in the wallet are probably so business fugged to death, that finally sex like that is acceptable.

Not gonna make a big ole deal, but to rely on your wallet (or having to, even worse) as the end all be all, is def in the; monger never turning back can't pick up a girl on my own world.. We all have our way, I guess...

Our wallets always matter as well as personality and hygiene. The main reason I asked about my preferred appearance is that in the 2 mexican towns I usually go to the ladies like the look. In different countries and different cultures my appearance might receive a different reaction. I think CR will be pretty good for me since I do not go overboard with my heavy metal style, just enough. At 41the I dare not go too far with the style.

The only appearance the chicas worry about is the faces on the money you pay. Just practice
good personal hygiene and they will love you for that. Treat them with respect . There are many
that are very fun to be around. Always Chica proof your room and your wallet. It takes a while before trust
can enter into the picture. Read as much as you can about how to negotiate with these Chicas.
Once you do this have fun!
