No harm bringing bug spray, especially at night outside in Jaco.
At least $20 in $1 bills is good for taxis and tipping in town.
Remember to make a copy of your passport page with the CR entry stamp on it to carry with your copy of your passport. You will have to do this at your Hotel.
If you go upstairs to change money then pay your departure tax too, $26 or $28 now I think.

About cell phone usage--read this: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=37113
About copying your passport: It's better to do this in CR at your hotel, who'll do it free. Reason: it will then show your entry-into-CR stamps, so you'll be able to prove your entry date (when the 90-day clock starts ticking).

Nah - their hygene standards are really high (so I'm told  :) ) - just that if you are so inclined to bring thongs a few in the larger sizes might be a good idea :)

I'll be in the cigar lounge @ HLH most afternoons - but PM me; I'd like to meet you :)

Do this when you get in - at the BANK NOT THE CASA DE CAMBIO - its located across from where you get in at the ticket counters - buy your exit visa and go to the BANK and change money - 2 less things to worry about.

I always have to laugh at myself when I suggest this but, go to a cheap dollar store. For me, it was Target. Buy yourself and bring a few cheap shower caps for the chica's.

have fun

Copy of passport and ID at home OK for possible loss of passport, but don't forget to copy it with your entry stamp after arrival and then carry this with you on jaunts to the Delrey and HLH.
I always pack some 1's, 2's and 5's for taxis and small purchase, maid tips etc. Never had a taxi driver turn down a $2 bill for most gulch rides.
Buy a sim card for your unlocked phone as you come through the airport, you'll get a local number and plenty of minutes for a short trip.
You and your buddies are going to have a bachelor party to remember for years to come! For the next 10 years you will get a big smile on your face every time you think of this trip! Have fun :D

Some guys like to bring trinkets from the Dollar Store for the girls. Sometimes Victoria's Secret has sales on stuff (lotions) that the girls like.

Gifts sometimes help to set the mood and can also offset the request for propina at a favorable cost.

RAC is correcto. Purchase some panties (small of course) and lip gloss from Victoria secrets. The chicas love VS stuff and it goes a long way for very little dinero.

I have seen these gift ideas to buy panties at Victoria Secret. What I don't understand is how would you know what to buy? I know nothing about panties much less what style a girl would want. So, if you want to buy something I would stick to lotion, perfume, etc. Not to mention you don't need to spend a lot of $$$ on panties, they won't like you any better because they don't care how much it costs you. If worse came to worst, you can use that lotion, but not those panties.
