I believe the monger scene is as much a latin invention as any other. I think it is common (if not expected) in the latin culture for a man of means to have a much younger mistress or even 2. Many of the latinas are raised to believe they don't have much more going on for them than their sex. They know that the way in life is by the good graces of an older man. (That thinking exists in the USA but it certainly more prevalent in latin cultures IMHO).
The pattern I experienced with the putas was to treat them nice, to the point of almost spoiling them and then sit back and wait for them to come after you. Many times the girls will not find a client when they need it most (i.e. rent is due, pay for school, no money for food/bus or phone). That's when they show how much they depend on the man and his assets, regardless of any other factors. That's the time to show a firm hand and not be coy about expectations, prices etc.
I think the putas expect this kind of treatment and respect the mongerer even more.
I wonder if the negative feedback some are getting from Ticos is more about a general dislike of Gringo. Ticos are very upfront about their dislike for Nicos of Colombians. I think there are many Ticos that dont really like Gringos that much either. They might be just using the monger thing to show their disdain for Gringos in general.

That being said, I am still can't believe the number of 5 or lower latinas on these dating sites (marriage agencies) that still expect to get a commitment from a Gringo who is no more than 5 years their senior. Hell, why wouldn't the gringo save himself some major time, cash and hassle and just find a gringa if their is no age or other major advantage. Could it be these dating sites will sign up women even if they have zero chance of finding a guy with any kind of game. I am sure the Gringa has a bad name, but seriously, there are tons of very lonely women in the states. As long as your happy with someone in your demographic, finding a woman is not that hard. Hell, they find you.
In addition, the latina, justified or not, has a bad reputation for being extremely dependent and overly emotional (i.e. have you met a latina that is a drama queen ?).
Yet time and time again I see a 37 year old, with a K*D or 2, average looking latina stating the age requirements of perspective men must be 35-40. Really ? I would like to date Super models without leaving my home.
I believe most reasonable latinas (Ticas), that have even a marginal amount of common sense, who do not have a significant profession or form of income well in excess of average must know that an older gringo that can provide them (and usually their Ch*ldren) with security and a decent life is very much a catch, if not down right winning the lotto. I think some will draw the line if you are not in good shape (i.e. have major health issues) or if you are near the point in life where you need someone to care of you. This makes sense to me, after all they want a husband and not someone they have to take care of in addition to their Ch*ldren and parents.

Ran across my old post just now and thought I should pass on my experience from my last visit in the spring. I spent time with a number of lovely young ladies, most of whom were at least a third of my age. I was treated as a boy friend in most instances and with the exception of one lazy text messaging girl at HLH every experience was fantastic. I spent time with the ladies of HLH, SL, and DR. I met a stunning 6 foot tall lady from Limon at the SL one night who walked back up to LA where I was staying and she rocked my world. We shared a cup of coffee at the bar at SL to get to know each other and she agreed to all of my requests. When I asked for a bbbj she replied "Yes, men's don't like condoms. In the room we went at it like teenagers and after a few minutes of her oral skills I asked for a condom so we could Phuk. I guess she would have done that BB as well, but not me. It took a phone call downstairs and a request that was granted post haste by the excellent staff at LA. Lesson learned, bring your own don't be a dummy like me!! I agree, and if you listen to Greengo, they hate us but they don't know why. I don't know why, jealous I can understand, but I have felt it, not often, but for sure.

Why worry about it?

Don't we all come down here to get away from the bullshit in our day to day lives at home? Every country and culture is different and the best thing you can do is just be polite and respectful. I've also found that most "experienced" woman the world over, start to worry less about how attractive you are and more about the other qualities in a man. Is he successful? Does he have a temper? Etc. And it's not just putas... But women in general.

Don't get me wrong... Everyone knows what's going on with that old guy and young chica,
but it doesn't mean it's evil or 'wrong'. Those are just artificial morals that PC societies like to espouse. Fact is, many 'normal' people envy those of us who are able and willing to live this lifestyle. I've certainly found it to be a lot less stressful then when I am attempting a relationship at home, lol.

Just keep your head on your shoulders. You'll find a lot of putas may take you for a mark, but if you show that you won't be taken advantage of and you also show that you are fun to be with and generous, you'll start to earn their respect and find the service better and more opportunities available to you. At least that's been my experience so far.

Hugh Hefner has been living the old fart/young chica thing for years. It's the American male dream. Don't worry what people think, just live the dream!

Let's not overlook the all important Biologic Component! Men can sire Ch*ldren until they die, woman cannot.

I cringe when I see Hefner parading around his teenage girlfriends. I am less than half his age and even I feel awkward sometimes with some of the younger chicas.
