It is NO PROBLEM in CR. I'm black, and I have been going there for years. The VAST majority (more than you or I could hook up with in two lifetimes) will go with you. The VERY few that won't will avoid you, so you aren't likely to have negative experiences. There also some that will seek you out because you are black. Don't worry about it, man.

Also, chicas tell guys what they think the guy wants to here. A few tell guys they don't like black guys, just like they say they don't like ticos. The majority of times, it is complete bullshit. I have had guys tell me how a particular tica didn't date black guys, and then had that exact same tica walk up to me and ask to come with me. This has happened multiple times.

My favorite memory was a guy that was head over hills for this tica and talked about how great she was. Then he looked at me with half-pity and explained that she never goes with black guys because she is only attracted to white guys. Later, I asked the Tica about it. She smiled, opened up her wallet, and showed me pictures of her TWO HALF BLACK K*ds! The guy was right about one thing. She really is great in bed.

Generalize much? I've lived in Europe and in Asia, been to 26 countries, and that hasn't been my experience. People are generally ok with anyone who respects them and doesn't act like an ass.

As for the chicas in SJ, I'm sure there are some who resent but need us, some who generally like us and some who want their K*ds to be "us".

As far as us liking each other, I think "we" are generally cool with any of "us" until he/she proves to be an asshole.

I guess those chicas probably say likewise about white guys, asians or ticos depending on who they're talking to. Maybe they think we have a problem with girls who sleep with the other races. Kinda weird if you think about it, since we are all screwing girls of other races down there. It probably works against the chicas in the long run to give false info in that way. If I'm hanging out with a friend who isn't white and he tells me the girl I'm interested in doesn't like white guys, I lose any interest in her in a nanosecond and say NEXT. And likewise if my buddy likes a girl who approached me and she said she doesn't like his skin tone, she just missed a good referral.

I respectfully disagree with Livincr, even though there is some truth in his statement. There is all kind of gringos. Some are obnoxious and loathsome, but the majority is nice and not disliked by locals. In many countries in Latin America young women dream that a gringo will fall in love with them and will take them to America where they will live happy forever. I know, many times it doesn’t work that way! Most people in the world admire what the USA has accomplished in only 235 years of independent history.

I agree with Conte Dante, a lot of Ticas bull shit about not liking black guys. The truth is that a clean black guy has the same probability with Ticas than a clean white guy (it depends more on the chemistry between the John and the Provider) Just my opinion

young jedi please be cautious about all that is said. 1st off. how many times has your friend been to san jose? 2nd, did he enjoy himself? are you guys looking for a certain look? 3rd, how much do you plan to hunt? 4th, is the beach that important to you? and last but not least do you hunt when you are home? why do i ask these questions? well here we go.......... if your friend has only been to san jose once and didnt know what was what he might not have met all the dominicans that live and work in san jose. he also my not have know his way around. if he was looking for a certain look i can almost bet he can find it in san jose. if you just are a 1 chica a day guy then sosua might be the place for you. less venues, less day traffic, smaller area. you can grab girls all day but the vibe is not the same. if you dont come from a place where you have a beach then the beach is a big thing for alot of guys. san jose is city. it moves real smooth from 7am - 10pm. so aint no beach my brother. lol. but you can stay busy all day long for a fair amount of coin. depends on what you like. last topic. do you hunt at home? if you go on some of the hunting sites you will see that most will have a few ladies that state in their ad that they dont date blacks. so this is in the good ole usa. does it happen in cr. yes. but it happens all over the world my friend. some love ya some like ya. some dont care. and some cant stand ya. if you want just dominicanas then go to sosua. but if you want them and colo's ticas, nicas, chicas from panama, caracas, even a few from brazil. then this is the place to come. see for yourself. best way to find out. enjoy my brother.

99.9% of the time, it has zero to do with race, color, or national origin.

It has almost 100% to do with personality, grooming (I don't want to be around you if you smell or look like the last good bath you received was when you were baptized ), and mostly, how you conduct yourself - an ass is an ass regardless of where he (or she) is from - another hint that some never seem to get - you are not any cuter, funnier, or better looking drunk; the opposite is true.

Pvt, I agree with all but the "guys who live here" part. If you live here and look like you have some bucks and might be good BFF material, you will have no problems. They are very prejudiced against guys who don't have the scratch.

Also, remember that the girls will reflect what they perceive: If they think that you are prejudiced they will wrinkle their nose when you do in order to fit in. Girls will agree with some really stupid stuff if they think it will gain points with the money guy.
