All of Cujo's answers are good information but realize he rolls different than a lot of us and what works for him might not for you. On the money issue, it will depend on how much you drink, chica quanity,chica quality and so on. I go through about 250.00 a day but I like to entertain chicas with drinks and dinner and tend to tip well. I always take way more cash than I need but I have never owned an atm card so I like to have plenty of cash on hand. You want to avoid using most credit cards in CR due to the foreign transaction fees. Have great time and let it all come to you because believe me it will.

1st Question: Dunn Inn vs. SL? Dunn Inn will be a little cheaper. SL will be more fun. I would stay in the latter if it was my first time.

2nd Question: Oranges? You were given incorrect information

3er Question: Walking at night? I wouldn’t walk at night even a few blocks, especially if you have a few drinks.

4rd Question: Language problems? Most girls at MP, HDR, SL, etc. understand the basic vocabulary related to the hobby. They are very interested in doing some business with you, and if there is empathy on both sides it’s easy to reach an agreement. Don’t worry if you don’t speak Spanish, but I advise you to learn some key words.

5th Question: Expenses? Between $150 and $200 a day (hotel, taxis, drinks, food and 3 girls included)

6th Question: Phone? It your personal preference. You may find it exciting and stimulating to exchange phone numbers with the girls. A phone for me in Costa Rica (visit just for a week) is an unnecessary burden. (Too many girls calling me)

7th Question: Fun things to do? Spending time with friends, going out to eat to nice places, walking/visiting in the morning beautiful places in the Central Valley, walking in downtown San Jose, etc..

8th Question: Money? Bring your debit card and use ATMs. Bring some cash for emergencies. Have a mental chart of equivalencies ‘Colones-Dollars’, so you know exactly how much you are spending and don’t get overcharged.

9th Question: Tips? Normally I don’t tip. Few exceptions: a nice waitress /bartender, a taxi driver that I have known for a long time, favorite girls. I do not tip at MP.

10th Question: My biggest mistake as a rookie is that I tried to do too much and did not rest/sleep/enough. In my opinion to perform well you need to rest a lot, keep hydrated, and pace yourself. Have fun!

I just want to say thank you to everyone who has given feedback and also those that have pm'd me as well with additional info and support. Everything is all set now. I just traded in 30K miles for a free ticket (can't believe i still had to pay 50$ in taxes on a free ticket grrrr), and the airfare is taken care of. Also I just booked the SL for 10/8-10/14 for my trip, so airfare and hotel is taken care of. No need for rental car or cellphone at this time, So i guess I am all set, just need to start reading up on the forum now with all the info about girls, MPs, etc.

I was looking at the VIP gallery and Relax (i think its a MP?) seems to be a good place to go to find hotties at a great bargain, along with the indy girls working the SL, plus the HLH. If anyone knows Vanessa (in the pictures with cuba dave) is still working or how to locate her, that would be great, along with Roselyn/Yoslyn (?) from Relax, if she still is in the business?

The worst rookie mistake that I kept making was being indecisive with chicas. If you see somebody you may want to talk to, do it because she may get picked up and you may not see her again for the rest of the trip.

So what do you do if want that chica and she is with someone else for the time being? Do you interrupt them and say, hey, when you are done with him, come see me or .....?

I would not interrupt them. You see her, she makes eye contact, she will know you are in the game. You just have to wait. My opinion but I just don't do that. Plus, so many others, why even bother a fellow monger.
