For partying and phucking I'm a big electronic music fan particularly trance. Last trip I took 30 or 40 CDs and let the girls choose. Of course they didn't know the names of any of the DJs so I just grouped everything saying this is rock, this is electronica, this is blues. Every girl went with the electronic music. All of them.

Oh and by way guys I found this out after having lugged down a set of computer speakers and a subwoofer.... The DVD player in my room at the SL (Mono Room) plays CDs. I'm pretty sure most DVD players do.

Try some of these DJs
Paul Van Dyke
Paul Oakenfold
Cris Frotier
Carl Cox
Shasha

If you have a girl that likes blues I'd suggest Ali Farke Toure. He is called the African Blues King and he was one guitar playing sumbitch. It's very old school. If you ever saw the movie "Unfaithful" it was his music playing in the scene where Olivier Martinez bangs Diane Lane in his apartment. The words are African so she won't understand them and neither will you but is is some sexy assed music.

Some contemporary stuff might be some thing like Citizen Cope. When you want to be romantic Sade has some really smooth sounds for a romantic feel. Light some incense and pop the cork on a bottle of wine and your off to a very romantic session.

The music will set the mood so choose wisely based on what kind or experience you want.

I went with a set of about 50 - 60 90's (100% pure love, Space Jam, I like to move it, etc) club hits last time on my ipod. Chicks liked it. To be honest, I am not really looking for a music critic to come to my room, rather, more of an artist, in her own way. But, I understand a mood can never hurt.

Try "Goodbye Horses" by Q. Lazzarus. Google it to see the comedy in that song choice.

Does anybody remember the "Magic CD" that a former Dallas member put together some time ago. It was a compilation of 16 songs of Latin artists. Every Chica of any age and every country would sing along and say ohhh Romantica.
It has the same result up here even if they do not understand Spanish.

Thanks to all for all the suggestions. I've now got about 3000 songs loaded.

Loaded tons of Reggae, Reggaeton, Shakira, Rock, Alternative Rock, some Jazz & Blues, R&B....

Didn't have a clue what Reggaeton was until I asked for recommendations.

This sweet little Rasta Chica at my local music store recommended Sizzla,Steel Pulse,Wailing Souls, Desirre, all the Marley K*ds & a bunch of other Reggae. Going to add more of this

Also going to add some John Klemmer, Sade and Govi for chill music.

I really like the 120G I pod with the color cover flow.

Thanks again for all the suggestions.

Just a suggestion because it sounds like you travel with some sort of iPod dock which is equipped with speakers. However, should that go bad on you, having a back up cable with a 3.5mm male plug on one end (plug into iPod headphone jack) and two RCA male plugs on the other end is a good idea. You will more than likely be able to plug those RCA plugs into the TV in your hotel room...set the tv input to the A/V input....and your iPod will be playing thru the TV. It's always good to be sure..... 8)

Thanks Steven1, I do have a nice little logitech compact speaker dock. I will pick up the cable you described for a backup as I definitely want music in my room. Sounds like a good back up from the other port. In April on my first night in town...brought a chica back to the room and my digital camera didn't work (ever again). Bought another one next day. This hot part timer looked like model material to me & I never saw her again. (back up camera this trip!)

Thanks for the tip,
EO

I have the original and a volume 2 that Pacoloco hooked me up with some time back, I'd be happy to work something out to get a BM a copy. Shoot me a PM.

A different take:

Screw what the chicas like or dislike. I play music that I enjoy, music which relaxes me or ennervates me as I need.

I like electronica somewhat....Amon Tobin (spelling?) and others. No Moby though.

Many chicas enjoy 95.5 Jazz FM. It's "smooth jazz" with some Brazilian music and world beat artists thrown in. The station is automated via WinAmp or some other player and has almost no commercials.

I had the Magic CD... "Lloran las Rosa" by Christian Castro was a particular favorite for many of the girls.

Many girls however do not like musica romantica and would prefer dance music. I loathe most Reggaeton and much new-school hip hop...so it never gets played in my room. The chicas seem to deal.

My music, not their music. It is after all, my dollar and my party.

I agree El C-

I play the music I want in my room. So far every chica gets down to my music. Most of the songs I have are either played in strip clubs or regular clubs. Songs with good beats and sexual messages...

You may not be a huge fan EL C of the new stuff, but give a few songs a chance. Tell me what you think in a few weeks.. 8)

Pavarotti singing "N'est un dorma" (sorry about the mis-spelling) will make anyone cry. When he triumphantly sings Vincero! Vincero! at the end, tears well up and the throat tightens. "I will win! I will win!" Beautiful.

I first heard this aria during the fountain show outside the Bellagio in Vegas. And I wasn't the only one with tears in his eyes.....

"Time to say good-bye" (Brightman/Bocelli) is also a favorite of mine. And it is one that is played quite often during the fountain show at the Bellagio! Matter of fact, it's that very song that Will Ferrell sings on stage (at that wine party) towards the end of the movie "Step Brothers". :o

You guys bring your hip-hop and reggaeton for the chica's - I'll stick to jazz and opera! 8) Like they say..... 'different strokes ! :D

I've got jazz,

Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Jeff Lorber, John Klemmer, John Coltrane......

Maybe..... I'll add some Opera, the gay guys at my gym all like opera alot, and I've been to Madam Butterfly....I like the Sarah Brightman - Andre Bochelli idea, I just don't want to get teary eyed with a chica in my room. Then I'd have to switch it over to some Stevie Ray Vaughn to even out too much chill. Again thanks for all input!
