There a number of nice monger friendly hotels in San Jose but Corvetteman seemed to indicate that he wanted to be in the "gulch" at either the HDR or Morazan.

The DR rooms are adequate.I do spend more and more time in them when i'm in town and not with a girl. All i was saying is that they are overpriced by at least$20 but thats the case for most hotels in the gulchIMHO.The morazon would be my other option.I have never seen the SL rooms but from my reading guests seem to change rooms a lot during there stay and that to me is a pain in the ass.

Although I've never stayed at the DR I still contend the rooms are terrible. There have been times in the past when SL guest had to switch rooms but it's certainly not the norm. Actually you might be the first semi regular that I know that has never seen a room at the SL.

Before it sounds like I'm being defenssive, let me say my point is that the DR is a terrible choice to stay if you are a monger that likes to take chicas back to the room.

Cujo-I agree with much of what you said.I can't wake up at 3am in the sl and have 40+ girls to choose from.If your not on the 5th floor there is no sleeping between 10pm and 4am.The $10 chica fee ads up but i know all that going in.I just enjoy staying in the center of the action.I'm looking at my last bill $with 10 percent off for all 4 nights.9 upgrades. $489.36.I saved $30 in upgrades by having my regular leave her ID with security having lunch then going back to the room.I know the DR has a lot of negatives but it is still my hotel of choice.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong but the HDR gave you 10% off?

ID-you nailed it.Jadcujo either your easily confused or just wanted to knock the DR.

Or he just knows that the HDR rooms are shit holes! As others mentioned, staying at the HDR also encourages girls to be clock watchers.

The Sportsman's Lodge has nicer rooms, a much higher ratio of doable girls with better attitudes, bartenders who don't try to rip you off and a much better ambiance. JMHO.

jdd-Yeah they were offering a 10% discount during the rainy season sun-wed.When i checked in they said i would get it for 3 of the 4 nights but i wound up getting it all 4.Pac-i said the rooms were only adequate,i just like staying there. As for sl having more doable girls thats a matter of opinion, the clockwatching YMMV,bartenders they do need to be watched especially at night. On another note i was not mugged, beaten up or accosted by thugs on motorcycles so i could not write that thread you predicted i would .
