Those prices are correct. And she peed in the trash can because she said the bathroom was dangerous. Go figure.

When I was first living here and had girls over for TLN, I could not figure out why they kept putting the toilet paper in the trash instead of flushing it. After a few times I finally asked a regular and she said it would be rude to stop up my toilet with paper and that this way was Tipico.

Most of the Tico houses have bad enough plumbing where paper is not allowed. I never did figure out a way to ask beforehand that they flush the paper. :roll: :cry: :oops:

Yeah...Toilet paper in the trash and not the toilet is fairly typical throughout Costa Rica. Most places have a sign in the restroom requesting you do this. I think I read somewhere that it has something to do with low water pressure and sub-standard sewage facilities. Maybe they just don't want all that toilet paper showing up on the Jaco Beach. :shock: :P

The same girl I just posted about in the previous post did the EXACT same thing in my apartrment. At first I thought she was spitting into a napkin or something next to the bed. Nope, it was on the floor.

Also had a Nica leave 2 nice sized logs in my toliet. :evil: :evil: . That was just nasty.
