I only have 2 CR trips under my belt and both times I stayed at the SL. first trip was in September 05 and most recently March 05. I really like the layout and atmosphere of the SL, quiet for the most part and it's easy to get to know the staff and other guys who are there. there are some girls there during the day and usually quite a few later in the evening. ZB, NF, Amon Plaza, HDR and Colonial Casino are all easy daytime walks, plus after the initial phuck evey chica in sight wears off it's nice to hang at the bar, shoot a game of pool and enjoy my mellow.

HDR is something to see but I personally wouldn't like to stay there. it is in fact ground zero and to really appreciate the sheer magnitude it is best to walk into the BM at around 10pm on a Friday or Saturday night for the first time

I have had some very good selections from the BM and some bad, but honestly I think the best girls from both trips came out of the Key Largo which is right across from the BM. Yeah alot of the girls walk back and forth but I have had some really great luck there.

As far as late night action at the SL there isn't any, but I usually had a TLN so I wasn't looking anyway :D

Most important thing is relax and have fun and if you are going to be there for a week or so by all means take a side trip, you are going to an absolut4ely beautiful country. The cloud forrest and white water rafting are awesome.

Enjoy!

It's quite simple:

Hotel Del Rey = KMart blue light special. If you're in in for quantity and for the simple rush of shopping, this is your place. Food, bar, casino and hotel. Chicas number from 30 - 150 and prices can be found from $30 (yeccch) to $300 (ouch).

Sportsmens Lodge = Nieman Marcus. If you want a more laid back, slower paced, and somewhat exquisite experience, I recommend this. Food, bar, hotel. Hotel digs are nicer. Chicas number from 2-20. Prices tend to be a bit higher (CIEN!).

As a newbie, I cannot really recommend either -- you have to decide if you want rapid and total immersion (Del Rey) or slow and measured exposure (SL) to the CR mongering scene.

Why don't you visit both? Fly in early with tentative res' at SL (call ahead and make sure it's only held). You usually can find a room at Del Rey, but SL fills up faster (it's smaller).

I can say this: SL is my personal favorite. Not because I'm a snobby SOB, but because I often just cannot tolerate 150+ women grabbing my ass and another 100+ guys with semi-hardons wandering the isles and bar counters like so many sharks in a feeding frenzy. It's a bit over the top. Quiet hours are cool, and you can find many a deals, but then, I'm probably in the rack by then.

Whatever your decision ends up - Pura Vida.

Yes my gameplan is to stay at the Del Rey but spend most of my "hangout" time at SL.

Xray27,

I have found the opposite to be true. The chicas at the SL have been consistently cheaper for me. There are far fewer girls here and IMHO the selection and presentation is just much better at HDR. On both my trips this fall I've stayed at SL and found it to be a great experience each time,
but my last trip I only sessioned with 1 SL chica and she was a repeat from October. I far prefer to take a 3 minute cab over to HDR to make my selection and return to the SL to kick back, drink, dine and party with
my HDR hook up(s). The bar at the SL closing early has never been a issue with me because I generally have a TLN arranged.

I am planning my first trip, although not my first monger trip to latin america. I was considering the Presidente as my hotel, does anyone have any information as to why I would not want to stay there, other than the dress code I have read so much about.

Well you have obviously researched past posting concerning the Presidente. The only other constant negative I have seen posted here is the one chica at a time in your room.

I think the Presidente is a great choice. Congratulations for doing some research before asking questions. Welcome to CRT.
