I am leaving next week, first timer. I speak ZERO spanish. Staying at the HDR.

How tacky would it be to have some questions writen on a note card?

Whatever works man, then it's all good.

So how was your trip ? Hope you didn't let your guards down on some English speaking chicas in SJO. They prey on newbie

I don't think writing on cards is a good idea. Kind of like putting a bulls-eye on your wallet.
How about 3 10K bills with a note saying what you want attached to them?
Dos horas, sexo con condom-en su boca-sin condom, ect.

The trip was...well... UNREAL!

I cant put into words how amazing it was. I was scheduled for 5 days and stayed 11 (esposa was REAL happy w/papi).

I didn't use any cards. To anyone going 1st time w/out spanish skills, don't worry. Most putas can understand the "essentials" when a gringo is speaking english. Also, I did pick up a LITTLE spanish just talking with all the beautifull putas.

I am returning 8/17/06 for 7 days, hope to see some of you guys then.

Again, thanks for the great advise.

I hate to say I told you so but, I TOLD YOU SO!!!

When it comes to dealing with the CR "ladies" all matters will take their course accordingly.

As I said, you know what you want and they know what you are there for.

I dont speak any spanish, nor do I make any attempt to remember words, and I have never had any problems. If in the odd case you run into a girl that speaks spanish only, hand signals go a long way.

Very important, that, but also a good spirit helps too--these women are expert at reading moods--you both want to have a good time, no? For example do you dance a little or at least get moved by Latin music? Stuff like that. Remember these Chicas are there at the bar near every night and have seen all manner of Gringos.

I speak very little Spanish and I never had a problem except sometimes in the MPs. Virtually all the girls I have met at SL or the HDR speak enough English for you to have a conversation. Some speak excellent English and are even usually gramatically correct. However, if you find one who dosen't speak English just go up to her and ask, "Phuckie phuckie suckie suckie?" And she'll likely smile and reply, "Si, phuckie phuckie suckie suckie." It means the same in all languages.

To firm up that point further--amazingly enough, that wordage especially when accompanied by certain hand gestures, worked well in the Viet Nam bush village brothels, where they'd never heard English before. Hey, men are men and women are women.

In my opinion is not a good idea to have questions written in a card. Most guys there don't speak any Spanish, just a few words that are badly mispronounced. Most girls are not interested in having a conversation; just show them money. You will be fine. :)
