Hey Tonka,

Fun web page, but it's hardly complete.

For example, it fails to list the following Costa Rican slang:

Penis = Picha (shown as used in countries other than CR)

Regarse = Literally, "to irrigate oneself;" to have an orgasmo

playado = Homosexual male; the site lists "playo," which I understand is also correct

Colombian slang is somewhat sparse as well:

Penis = chimbo

And I'm sure there are other omissions as well. I noticed that neither "verga" (c*ck") nor rabo ("c*ck) were included; these terms are both used in Mexico and Spain.

Under insults, why was the nearly-universal "zorra" ("slut") omitted?

Well, the site is a great conversation starter to use with the chicas. :D

Hey Tonka, are you originally from MN, the first home of Tonka Toys, on the shores of Lake Minnetonka? Just curious.
:)

If you want to learn the words for all kinds of food and drinks, plus a brief list of Costa Rican idiomatic expressions, go to

http://www.paulglassman.com/cr4.htm

Good free site with very limited advertising (ads are limited to promos for Glassman's book about CR).

Verbs? I hate 'em, but I need 'em:

http://www.verbix.com

I'm still looking for a software dictionary which is usable without a mouse (blind-friendly). Sadly, I bought the $49.99 Oxford Spanish Dictionary on CD ROM and cannot use it at all. If anyone has any ideas, please PM me.
