These forums have been a great place for information, especially if you are going solo or a group of two. Does anyone have any recommendations for a place to throw a party for a few hours for the groom that would accomadate 8 guys plus 8+girls? Also any recommendations on where to play pool and get a good cigar?

For the Cigars, go see Bruce and Rick at Zona 2. I just read Costillo put in 2 new pool tables so that might be a good place for playing pool. As for the party look into renting the 4 suites at Zona2 if they are available.

You won't see Bruce at the Havana Humidor Room for a while and Rick is managing Zona II. Alice is managing the HHR and now has an English speaking Tico there when she's not.

We will be there 4-20

going to be a little tough to get much in the way of privacy unless you take the party to your room
there are some big rooms at the hotels such as SL having a penthouse w quite a bit of space
at an mp like zona or new fantasy they will surely accommodate you in their open areas but you will likely have a bunch of other guys you might not want at your party
just depends on how you want to do it but if i were trying to organize it i'd probably try renting the penthouse at SL for a few hours (if its open and if it can be done by the hour) and talking to girls you see that you like
if you did that around 4pm for a party at 6 or 7 it can probably be done
all these girls have friends they can call and get there if theres money to be made
drawback there is you have no idea who is coming lol
you could also go to the DR and bring some back
just know the subject of cash is all they have on their minds but if you pay up front be prepared for disappointment
maybe even better to have each guy find one he likes and bring back to the room for whatever
also on any given day there can be variety or nothing according to the reports i read

id say the penthouses at either amistad or castillo... book a couple of them for the party and some regular rooms for the rest of the guys....
im sure you can order up some food and drinks from the hotel, id just have this planned out to give the staff a heads up...

id just be sure to have the best man have all costs planned out and ready to be paid out.. last thing you need is cash issues during the party...

pent houses 310 or 312 at amistad would be a good choice...

or any of the 3 penthouses at Castillo, the upstairs patios interconnect with each other too great view of teh city at night

Amistad bar area is too small for an 8 man 8 girl Bachelor Party. You'll piss off the other Mongers staying there. Amistad is a chilled atmosphere type place.

Can the penthouse be rented out or only daily rentals?

why not rent it out for the bachelor to stay in? and the rest of you guys take regular rooms? you arent talking about breaking the bank at 129$ a night... its your friends last hurrah...
