I'm flying into SJO Sunday morning. Should be clear of the outer bands (and I'm sure the pilots will fly farther east if necessary.

Any long-time flyers know if this storm (compared to past ones) could cause any disruption to air traffic between FL and SJO?

What do hurricanes and women have in common?

When they first come, they are wet and wild.
And when they leave, they take your house and car with them.

I flew from PHL to SJO during Hurricane Katrina. Not sure if the plane flew above or around the storm, and the ride was pretty smooth. I did not realize there was a hurricane until I saw it on the Tico news about 3 days later.

Our gang is leaving the beautiful 80f of Las Vegas heading to sjo via Houston, which is gonna get the remnants of the hurricane & the worst weather in the country is forecast. It'll be a miracle if we make it thru on schedule but hey, the chicas are waiting!
