I think I may try to book a trip in August. I've spent some time reviewing previous posts so I think I may plan to stay at the SL for my whole trip. I will probably be there from Thursday through Sunday. Is it worth paying a little bit more for one of the nicer rooms or should I just get a basic room. I'll probably check out a couple of strip clubs and check out the HDR and Zona II. I'm definitely on the younger side being early 30s but I'm just a not getting it at home. I will probably get a CRT membership as well. For Thursday night Friday and Saturday how much do you think I should budget for eveything? $3-400 per day?? I've hit up AMPs stateside but that's about the extent for me. Any advice or guidance is appreciated. I do speak decent Spanish but should I just play dumb and stick to English during the whole trip?

Welcome.

Read this, if you haven't already: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=16357

SL may be booked already, they book up fast. The courtyard rooms are right next to the bar and are pretty loud all day from breakfast until the bar closes. If you are a light sleeper, go with the modern wing or mansion wing rooms. They are much nicer and modern too, besides the noise level.

If you speak Spanish, use it, it's a plus as you'll get to build more chemistry and be able to gauge a girl's interest level, instead of point and shoot.

Your budget will depend on how horny you are, and how much you drink. Plan on $80 for a chica from the SL or the HDR, $45 - $50 for an MP chica, $85 for a chica at Zona II. All those prices are assuming you want a BBBJ. The SL has a free breakfast, plan $15 each for lunch and dinner - lunch should be a little cheaper and dinner a little more.

With a paid membership, you save 10% on everything at the SL, except the chicas!

But You do save on the chicas at Z2 with CRT. I think c3,000 on the full hour. It's my favorite discount. Pretty awesome when you think about it.

I'll be staying at the Sportsmen 7/30-8/9 . Have another amigo JCMP coming in Saturday 8/2. Lived down there for over a year but had to come back to the States to take care of family problems. Plan on running around with my friend BangBang57. Great source of info for newbies. I'll be staying in PAZ.
Standard room right opposite the registration desk. I'm a heavy sleeper so nothing wakes me up. Between the two of us we should be able to point you in the right direction. Things and girls change often so BangBang will tell you the current status of everything. (who, where, when). If you haven't already joined CRT do so now. You'll make the cost back the first couple days alone. Make sure you get your reservations asap. Sportsmens books up quick. I don't know where the current pickup spot for your card is (Might be the Sportsmen) ,but present it at check in and show it anytime you have drinks or food. You will get discounts on everything and can charge your food and drink to your room if you so choose. Be ready for a great vacation.

It was more awesome when their starting price wasn't so high. I just can't see paying more at Zona II than at the SL or the HDR.

Since you have a month and a half before your trip, you can have the card mailed to you.

I think it will be the SL for me. My timing depends on when I get passport

I am having it expedited, but if I don't get it in time it could suck :) Once I have my dates locked down I'll repost. If anyone down there needs something from the states shoot me a PM.

Good advise. Amazing how Zona II costs more than the rest. I just stay away from there nowadays.

I'm staying at Mona Lisa July 1st and figured would go to ZII just coz of proximity. Why is it more expensive than other MPs?

Zona caters to western mongers. It's clean, it's got a bar, and a cool vibe. You can hang there for as long as you want, and not get bored. Tico MPs are "pick'em, phuck'em, leave" places.
