Same with me. I've had issues sending my wife (who is Thai) with my daughter (US citizen) to Thailand for trips in excess of 30 days. Technically, my daughter cannot go to Thailand for more than 30 days without a visa, but there is no fine associated with a visa overstay if you are a minor. We go through this pretty much every year, and so I've taken to buying fully refundable tickets from Thailand to Singapore for my wife and daughter so that they have something in hand when checking in for their Thailand flights. Thai immigration has never asked to see return tickets, but AA has always asked.
