Ok here goes Rookie post. Will be in san jose for 3 months-mid sept to mid dec.. Would like to rent furnished apartment for oct. and nov. $500-700 month price range. Ideas on this forum suggest vista linda or sudamer. Any comments, facts, or opinions on these or additional apartments would be great. Was first time vistor to Costa Rica for two weeks last nov.--10 days san jose 4 days jaco. 68 years young--rarely out past 10-11 pm. main goal is for a mostly safe and clean place that is guest friendly. Thanks!

Scotland Apartments is also a good choice. In a much better neighborhood than Sudamer

I have a friend that has the building next to hlh, he has 5 units mostly all gringos in his building, apts are clean and furnished, not sure if any are open now,but can give you his info

Dear God ... is it the multi-story directly across Avenida 9? It looked deserted. Seriously, it looked really roughed up. And every night I was there it had a small contingent of 'ladies' standing directly outside.

If your outside of hlh, look to the right up the hill, just a bit, it has a grey metal gate then a door to the main entrance then 5 different units.... Its the building right next door, like I tell him, if hlh ever adds on it will need to be with his building

ok, phew! I thought it was that disgusting building. I'd love to be right there, but I'm not ready to take on the permanent cost myself ... yet! I'll be traveling over Labor Day. I'll ask you then to set up a meeting for me.
