I spent 2 weeks footloose and carefree in country last spring. I found 4 nights in San Jose was a great way to kick things off and then it was off to La Fortuna for 3 nights for some great hiking and exploration of that beautiful area. After that it was over to Puerto Viejo where I spent 4 nights in a jungle cabanya and then back to San Jose to finish up a fantastic virgin trip in paradise. Everyone has their way of doing things, of course. This was a great way to experience what was important to me. Only problem with that trip was that it was too short.
