Old time monger, planning first trip to CR.

Wondering how secure are the hotel safes inside each room?

Has anyone ever lost items inside while the safe is closed / 'secured'?

You will not have problems with your safe secured/closed. I have even left my open for a day with everything in it. Of course that was at the SL, FWIW the owner didn't wave when I returned and all my stuff was still there. 8) 8)

Search" safes" there are some threads on this issue.

Overall, any somewhat knowledable safe cracker could likely break into one....but since I doubt the maid or your female visitors fall into that category, I don't think you have much to worry about.

However......

If the safe has a key, keep it with you and if it has a combination, don't write that down - and a safe is only good if the door is shut and its locked, so make sure you do so - some guys are their own worst enemies, so make sure you are not in that select group.
