Yes and yes. I think it's 011 to call the States from there.

Yes it will, and rates for both are very reasonable (at least by Canadian standards!) Internet costs 0.33 colones per minute, that's 20 colones, or about 4 cents per hour, unless I screwed up the math. All incoming calls are free, and although I've seen elsewhere on this forum that outgoing international calls are 160 colones per minute, the kolbi website seems to suggest that calls cost 34 colones per minute, reduced to 28 colones for calls within CR.

Yes, all incoming calls and texts are free. Outgoing texts are about 2 colones each and outgoing local calls are now 40 colones per minute, 32 (offpeak-midnight to 5am). Calls to the US are about 160 colones per minute. I've never seen an actual rate advertised but that's what I calculated from past calls.

Make sure that you have the proper frequency band for CR.

Country code to USA is 001. You would dial 001 then the area code and phone number if calling the states from Costa Rica 001-xxx-xxx-xxxx.

011 is the country code for Costa Rica. You would use that if calling Costa Rica from another country.
