Enjoy your trip down there and hopefully you can keep to your schedule. My first 6 or 7 trips, I basically accomplished your day 1 agenda. Be flexible! One thing to consider, Thur/Fri/Sat are the prime chica days in SJ. Maybe hit the road Sun and return to SJ on Tue.

" most of the girls down here, lie as a self defense mechanism and to not have to face the truth, thinking most men couldn't accept them knowing the whole truth. Simpler, they may just want men to think they are as perfect as they want to appear to them, trying to hide what they consider to be the ugly truth about themselves. And I may be reading more into it than is there, but I do believe they consider the basis of the lies to be justified."

stay out of Costa Rican strip clubs....and keep an eye on your stuff....chica proof your room of any valuables if you bring one back to your place......and if you see a little darling's lips moving...then you know she is lying to you.....

Now that I'm back home, I can say that I was able to stick to my original plan and basically get to everything I wanted to do down there. I was pleasantly surprised by the weather. I was expecting only a couple of hours of sun each day and non stop rain after that. The it barely rained until after sundown, and even then it only rained really bad one night. Thanks all for the advice. I'll post a better trip report in the appropriate section later.
