Me and a friend coming thru first time to CR. This CRT forum is amazing, so much useful information, thanks to all of you!
We are not typical gringo looking(blonde/blue eyes)
We are spanish looking brownskin, black hair, born and brought up in good ol'US though
Iam not sure chicas in CR have an opinion about race, but I am also thinking they might confuse us for some ticos..and we dont get no girls!!
Any tips/suggestions greatly appreciated. Thinking about staying at sportsmen not sure if the marriott is going to let us bring any chicas with us back to the room..
We are in our 30's and might be a bit late discovering CR so late, shuldve done this 10 years ago, but its nevah too late!

As I said in your other thread, the only color that matters is GREEN.

Stay at Sportsmens or Amistad. And read the pinned threads in the newbie section, although it sounds like you already have done some research.

Don't sweat it at all. I'm Latino and speak Spanish quite well. I thought like you did. "Maybe they won't like me as much since they want American lookin guys." I couldn't have been more wrong. First, the color green is the most important. After that is a good attitude and a sense of humor. You get them laughing and having a good time...It can significantly improve your session. Don't be a pushover but get them liking you so it's not a business transaction and they actually want to make you happy.

Right behind that, it's your selection that is important. Be willing to say no. Hang out with a girl for 20 to 40 minutes and have a few drinks with her. If she's fun, you'll know rather quickly. If she isn't, get rid of her ASAP.

Going to the SL is your best bet. Just get there and you really can't go wrong. And hey...it's never too late...

I have to agree with Beachbum.

I cannot stress this enough to newbies...if you aren't 100% into the chica, while getting to know her, let her go. I could have saved mucho dinero if I had done that early on.
