Can anyone tell me if the SL still make copies of your passport and entry stamp upon check-in? Any help is appreciated. Thanks :D

Sure they do as will most other hotels. A better plan is to have it done at the copy shop on Avenida Central. Just a few meters west of the Presidente on the north side of the street. They will copy both the info page, the page with your entry stamp, reduce it to credit card size, laminate it all for less then a dollar.

Will be arriving in the gulch at around 4pm or so, just wanted to know if I would have time to get there before they closed. Again thanks for the info.

If you can get there before closing fine, if you can't, it is certainly no big deal. On checking in at SL just ask them to make a copy and they will gladly do so.
