Hi all,

Just found out all my buddies abandoned me for this trip due to economy and loss of job. I will be traveling alone and don't have any hotel rsvp. Leaving within two weeks. I like the slow pace of SL, but love the action of DR. Is DR like FFK in Germany or Spain? Don't have a lot of $$$ to spend on hotel - $100 is a stress since I will be there for 10 days. I was going to divide the cost with my buddies, that is no longer the case. Sorry for the rant!!! Will report after my trip.

Thanks for reading.....

HDR is nothing more than a hotel with a bar/casino area where independent prostitutes hang out looking for a customer.

How close is La Amistad hotel to SL and DR? Is it chica friendly? I might just bite the bullet and stay at SL and be someone's wingman. I am a great wingman since I don't drink and get drunk

Is it too late to join the VP section and get the card for hotel discount? Someone mentioned that with the discount it's about $90 a day at SL? Can I still pick up my card in Zona Blue/ HLH?

Thanks,

dick

Amistad is a quick walk to SL. Both are within walking distance to the HDR but at night for safety you need to take a taxi which is less than $2.00.

You can join VIP and get your membership in 24 hours or less. Well maybe not tomorrow as Admin will be at the Meadowlands watching the Eagles end the Giants season.

I was in the same situation as my friends left me high and dry over new years eve. I had a great time. Hang out at the SL and you will meet some hot free lanncers. The DR is cool as well. You will meet some cool dudes at DL. Even if you stay at another place, stop by the SL in the afternoon. Also stop by the LH and New Fantasy.

I am headed to thailand in Feb and back in CR in April. Mongering is GREAT!

Dick,
what are your dates? Admin was VERY responsive to helping me out with my membership and card, so a good guy in my book.
What are your dates? I will arrive on 1/21 and will be at the Amistad. Maybe we can hook up? Let me know, I'm kind of a CR newbie as well and plan on dropping by the SL.

Hi Intel Design,

That would be great! I will be there 22 to 31. I won't be doing mongering all those days since I do want to do some tourist things and take pics - think of myself as an amateur photographer, if that is ok with you. But plans do change, don't they? :P :P :P :P

DD, chances are the SL will probably not have any rooms left where your trip is so soon. I'd suggest the La Amistad as well, even though I haven't stayed there I have seen some of the rooms and it gets many good reviews.

Hi all,

Thank you for all the advices! I have emailed the owner of La Amistad and we are going back and forth to get a room. I should call him, but work is busy today. I will try tomorrow.

A little concern about the hotel though. On their website, it looks like a family-oriented hotel. How will the guests react when I bring a different chica in every hour..hehehe..I mean every night? Are there a lot of family and K*ds staying at the hotel? I don't care what the adults will say about my hobby, but don't want to be to open about the my activities if there are und***ge K*ds there. We are mongers, but we are also gentlemen....hehehe!

The hotel IMHO is 70% monger and about 30% eco-tourist. Matt would have specific numbers if he wants to share that with us. If there are any K*ds is because they are Matt’s rugrats when he is babysitting. :P :P :P :P Otherwise, nobody care about the chicas and how many you bring to your room. You will not regret your choice.
