I am seeing conflicting info on Hotel Presidente. Can someone answer these ???s for me:

1) Is the hotel Chica Friendly?

2) Is there a charge for bringing a Chica into the hotel?

3) Are there freelancers hanging around the hotel?

4) Do they frown if all you do is bring lady after lady into the hotel?

5) It is a safe walk to the SL and DR?

1) Is the hotel Chica Friendly? Friendly? Maybe. Tolerant? Yes

2) Is there a charge for bringing a Chica into the hotel? No, but one per room per time. No threesomes my friend.

3) Are there freelancers hanging around the hotel? Definite no

4) Do they frown if all you do is bring lady after lady into the hotel? No, but I doubt they want you hanging around the lobby for any considerable amount of time with your "prize"

5) It is a safe walk to the SL and DR? Day time for sure. Night time, the DR in my opinion is fine although incidents have happened in the past. SL is probably best to take a cheap cab ride at night.

For SL:

1) Is the hotel Chica Friendly?

2) Is there a charge for bringing a Chica into the hotel?

3) Do they fallow thressomes and foursomes?

4) Is it far from DR? Taxi ride needed?

First, sign up as a VIP so you can download the SJ map, so you can see exactly where everything is.

Second, read this thread. It will answer a lot of questions you have and probably haven't thought of yet: https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=16357

Big Ass Baller,

1. Presidente is no longer truly chica friendly. They still permit some chica visits, but the hotel seems to be shifting its market away from us and more toward business travelers and eco-tourists.

2. No, there is no chica fee at the Pres.

3. No, they do not permit working girls to just hang around at the Presidente

5. As the hotel is becoming chica-unfriendly, you would get the stink eye for bringing chica after chica up to your room.

6. The Presidente strictly enforces both a dress code and code of conduct for the girls. This means no hooker clothes, the girls have to register at the desk and receive a "guest pass," then return the pass before they leave. Not cool.

SL:

1. Yes, chica friendly.

2. No chica fee.

3. 3-somes and 4-somes. Has been done, I suppose.

The SL, Castillo, Amistad, Vesuvio and Amon Plaza are all north of Morazan Park, the Key largo, Presidente, Hotel Morazan and Hotel del Rey are all south of Parque Morazan.. An easy daytime walk, it is not recommended that newbies stroll the park at night, unless one is searching for chix with dix. Taxi between the SL and hotel del Rey should be less than $2.00.

Orange is exactly correct. Join the VIP, get the discount card, download the map...you'll be good to go. Remember that if you use the card to get the discounts available at the Sportsmen's, Amistad, Castillo, Vesuvio and/or Amon Plaza...you'll save the annual membership fee during the first few nights of your stay. Use the card to get into strip clubs free...save even more. Use the card to get a 10% discount at a dozen excellent restaurants; you can easily save triple the cost of the card. Do it. :D

Hope this helps. Welcome to CRT! :D

El Ciego -

thanks for the info. I am in the process of changing my hotel from the Presidente to SL. I am an OM (Original Monger). I am going to join CRT today.

When I book my hotel online wih SL, do I mention the card there or wait until I check out?

You don't need to mention it when booking, but you will need to present the card at check-in and check-out to get the 10% off your entire bill. Charge your bar and restaurant tab to the room and then get 10% off that too when you check out.

But first, get a VIP card.

Bill told me that it was best to show your VIP card and get your 10% discount when you pay your bar/retsaurant bill. He said it presents a bit of a problem to figure your discount when paying your final bill.
He didn't say they would not give you the 10% credit for your bar and restaurant charges, just said it is easier on the paperwork if you get the discount on your /bar/restaurant charges. Ask the front desk upon check-in. They are very helpful, especially Manfred.

P.S. I wasn't clear on what the problem is...just trying to help. Mark52

I was at the Hotel Presidente my first night in CR (12/28). Most of the ladies that I met at HDR could not go with me becuase the Pesidente is now enforcing a strict dress code. No shorts or short dresses for the ladies. Needless to say that I am now in the Sportsman Lounge now (new wing).

There has been a dress code in place for a couple of years now. But if they are getting more strict as far as what's allowed, it may be time to remove the Prez from the list of chica friendly hotels. I already removed them from "Costa Rica For Newbies" thread a few weeks ago.

I don't remember if it was Bill or another member, but somebody wrote that they preferred guests to charge to their room and deduct at checkout. It would seem to be much easier to just charge everything to your room and then have them deduct the discount at checkout.

Personally, I'd feel stupid showing my CRT card every single time I get a $2 soda or a beer. I almost never stay in hotels anymore (I use an apartment) and all of the staff there knows me, and yet I have to ask to get the discount each time I want to pay my check.

Azbigballer do not wait for email, call, that way you can be sure about getting a room at SL... other's here can explain about the emails but my emails headed to CR may not get thru. My emails to SL never seem to get there ( and some other places down there) and besides it a 800 number- Do not lose out on a good thing-- By the call I got the Mansion double bedroom for myself and a friend march 17-25-- email and I might not have not got the best--- Hint pay a little extra and stay out of the court yard part if possible
