Im going to be in Jaco in November. I basically just want to know what activities are recommended over the others?

-ATV
-Canopy
-White Water Rafting
-Charter Fishing
-there are other things, but they sound lame

Im going to have 2 days to get a couple of these activities in. Does any1 like 1 more than the others? Do you think i can get 2 of them in on the same day?

Most importantly - Which company/place should i use? Which is cheaper or better/friendlier?

The Canopy tour and ATV riding in the mountains are my favorites.

I son't think it really matters which company you use, the price differences are minimal. Each hotel will have tons of pamphlets near the reception area, and they will even book the tour for you since they probably get a commission.

Keep in mind that Jaco is extremely humid, so you should wear loose clothing when doing these activities. For the ATV tour, you should expect to get dirty, so wear the appropriate clothing and footwwear. I had to throw my shirt and sneakers away because the red clay wouldn't come out. It usually rains, so it gets messy, slippery, and a whole lot more FUN!

Mucho Gusto is the fishing Guru.

Fishing, ATV, zip lines and Golfing get my vote (in that order) IF you have the time - the hot springs are excellent!

Good luck with that Wade!

You've got a 2+ hour drive to Jaco, bit longer to Quepos from SJO. To go fishing from SJO ain't cheap! Besides the transportation costs, the boats will start around $300 for 1/2 day, all the way up to $1,000+ for full day.

If you're looking for an inexpensive day trip, IMO fishing is not it. But if you're willing to pony up the $$$, I'd highly recommend it. Especially if the fish are chewin' that particular day! And don't forget to eat your Wheaties!

MG

"Crocodile Man Tour" They will pick you up at your hotel in Jaco take you out on the river and play with some big ass crocodiles. It is about 3 hours or so and around $40.00 It is a blast. It is nice to have SOME pictures of CR that you can show to everyone at work.....

RockXXL,

Do you have a website for the Crocodile Tour, or do you know if they will pick you up in SJO. I would like to see this on my next trip.

TY,

BH

The atv tour in Jaco is pretty lame compared to the Pariso tour from San Jose.
