A long way of saying YMMV when in CR, or getting over the post trip depression.
I have read many of the trip reports posted on this board. Many are enlightening, some are not, some are badly written but you get the idea of what happened, some are true, some are eloquent recounts of activities, some are exaggerations, some are just plain BS, but they almost always give you an idea of the fun that can be had in CR.
After you read a trip report of ones experience with a lady of CR, whether she is tica, nica, columbiana or other, keep an open mind. I have met many of the members of this board and their experiences are not based on the first time. The best experiences, as relayed to me by the members I have talked with, come from many trips to CR and working a relationship with the lady. Basically she becomes your favorita. Not your novia but your favorita. I have 3 that I always see and their performance just keeps getting better.
I have had just about every type of experience; the good experiences with some one I have never been with are typical, the great experiences are rare. On my recent trip I did have a couple of so-so performances. One of them I think will improve the more we get to know each other. If you are expecting a rock your socks off type of experinece with a new lady don’t be surprised if it doesn’t happen. Some of the worst performers I have had are the outgoing, free spirited types when you meet them. Some of the best performers have been the quiet, reserved type. Also listen to the people you meet and seek their advice. Most of all learn Spanish, it does make a difference.
If you are sexually inexperienced be ready for some surprises. Many of the ladies, especially in the MPs, know more about how to please a man than many of us can think of. Some of has have very good immaginations. Some of it we never even thought of. Sure a good lay or bj is nice but there are other ways too. Keep your mind open to these new experiences; try it. It may not be for you but it may be.
According to a doctor friend of mine when a woman has an orgasm it is the release of the egg into the philopian tubes by a constriction of a part of her anaotomy, (Forgot which part). It is NOT nesessarily how wet the girl is during or after the act. Many women do not know they have had an orgasm. So if she is very wet she may or may not have had an orgasm. With a male it is easy, he ejaculates. Being this at it may, you may experience a release of endorphins that results in a sort of rush; this has been described as a true male orgasm. It has happened occassionally to me and that is when I know I had a great performer. Also, anytime there is fluid, other than urine, from a man’s penis there is sperm contained in that fluid so bare back is not necessarily a good idea. Not to mention the possibilty of STDs.
Yes we come here to party like we were rock or movie stars, but remember that alcohol effects your experience and performance. So does lack of sleep and, believe or not, too much sex. As we get older we can not do what we used to do. You may experience impotency, depending on your age, amount of alcohol consumed and amount of sex you have had so far. If it happens give yourself a break and enjoy the conversation with the people you meet, visit the museums, take a Spanish lesson, go white water rafting or just relax. 24 hours usually works for me. Sure there are plenty of vitamins available but your body is trying to tell you something, listen.
DO NOT get tied down to the gulch. Read the restaurant reviews and general information sections. Get out and enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica. Visit a volcano, go white water rafting, take a surfing lesson, do the zip lines, hire a driver and just cruise taking in the beauty of the country. Get to the hot springs, or cloud forest, do some hiking, play golf. There are very good museums in San Jose each of which is with in walking distance of the hotels. The theater and symphony in San Jose are very, very good. Stroll down Avenido Central and enjoy the activity of the day to day lives of the people. Visit the central mercado. Eat at a soda or go to a restaurant in the near by mountains and look at the San Jose valley during the day or at night. The best parts of Costa Rica are not in the gulch. They are the warmest, friendliest people you will ever meet.
I am newbie to the gulch, 3 trips, but have been to CR 22 times. In a poll posted on this board I believe I scored somewhere around 80% of the places visited while the average was close to 40%, including many with more trips than me or those who live there.
In closing 2 things:
1) Most of these ladies are professionals and to them it is only sex. They know how to tell you what you want to hear and how to make you feel like you are a king. God I love it. The experiences you have will range from “What a waste of time†to “holy shit that was fantasticâ€.
2) Come to CR and have a great time with the ladies but if you do not go out and experience the rest of what the country has to offer you will be missing the best part of it.
