A very very upscale hotel. Located just off the auto pista from the airport to town near the Cariari Mall. Do not think you will find any action in that area and you will have to take a taxi to San Jose.
As to chica friendly I do not know of anyone who has stayed there giving a report on that. Could go either way. The con side being it is a very upscale hotel with an image to protect. The pro side is that they have a conference center which attracts some high powered conferences. Usually those attending that type of function are without the wife and like to party.
