If you want a room at the SL, book now. Otherwise, Oranges post covers everything you need to know for a first trip.

If you stay in the HDR, go for a higher level floor so you won't hear as much casino noise.

Enjoy!

Welcome.

As a virtual newbie myself I can only say you will not be the same when you return stateside. If your experience is anything like mine was, you might as well start planning your return trip now.

One of the things I didn't do that I wish I had done more of my first trip was take the time to check out more lodging options than I did. You know, get a couple tours of places I didn't stay at. Seems my first choice for a return trip books pretty far in advance as far as lodging is concerned.

What a resource this board has proven to be. Read, read, read, if you haven't already. If you have, well, read some more, lol. This is a great group of guys, and the help doesn't stop here. You'll find CRT'ers lots of places you will visit in CR, and to a man, the ones I met were more than willing to share both information and camaraderie. Damned if I didn't score a couple GREAT free cigars to boot.

A wise man once said on this forum, something similar to "Dont make any hard plans, Costa Rican has a way of changing your plans" . That thought played out in my head three or four times during my first trip to CR. What it means is go with the flo. Let the day unfold and enjoy. Dont be bound by any schedule. Welcome

You think 4 nights is a short trip.
You will be lucky to get 5 hours of sleep total in these 4 nights. :D

You'll see why I say that real soon 8)

Welcome to the board! Good luck on your trip. Sounds like the SL will be jumping in October! Must be that cheap fare out of LAX... Just once I'd like to be around a newbie when they walk through the doors at EITHER ZB or HDR!
