Say you go down to play in Costa Rica, condom either slips off or breaks. You leave the country without even a hint of knocking up your chica. Now, chica gets pregnant, but allegded father is out of the country.

there is an aggreement between the US and CR governments about deadbeat parents.

My question is this, when would one know? By letter from the government? Hold a monger at the airport when he is entering the country until some sort of agreement is reached between the monger and his chica?

I mean this could happen to any one of us without our knowledge. We go to immigration, then one of the clerks scans our passport, maybe some sort of sign is placed behind our names, when the passport is scanned some sort of alert is given and we are held. The chica could get our names from the hotel clerks because they have a record of when she was there and what room she went to.

Has this ever happened to anybody..........anybody have any thoughts to add?

I have a friend who was the first person in the US to get nabbed by this agreement. He was in the US Army stationed in Germany and after he got home and was actually engaged to another woman a sheriff's deputy showed up at his door with a court order to appear for a hearing. The girl in Germany had to file with the German courts and they contact the appropriate US agency and they in turn will start the US process for Ch*ld support. You can ask for a DNA test but if it comes back positive you’re screwed. My friend had no clue about his daughter and she was like 3 years old when all this happened. The agreement was retroactive to Ch*ldren born before the agreement was ratified by the US and Germany. It all turned out well though his fiancé broke up with him and he ended up going back to Germany and moving in with Mother of his Ch*ld. I don't know if it lasted as I have not seen him since late 80's.

Yes, one of my buddies had one, we started talking about it and he got pretty paranoid. His condom broke during a hot and heavy session with a chica. So he started throwing out scenarios and I started playing devils advocate to get him thinking 360 degrees instead of 180 degrees. Then I started wondering how this would actually work. I could just imagine going through immigration and being pulled over and having someone pull up some sort of computerized file to tell them what is going on.

To me it is more of a scenario of a scam, and the feeling of being held in another country, helpless, without much knowledge of the language, etc.

The DNA tests tells the tale, however a guy could go through hell trying to get through it all.

Or maybe some chica sees some guy in the Blue Marlin, remembers she knew him in session, was looking for money for the baby, and finds some cop.

#1 if every thing was perfect at the time of her cycle when the condom broke there is roughly only a 20% chance of pregnancy. I would want a DNA test if anybody claimed BS on your buddy! :evil: This is another reason guys not to make yourself a high profile candidate by bragging, showing off, Rolex watches, gold chains & flashing money. You have got to be a real insecure guy to do this. I would think it is smarter to play yourself down & you do not have much but the $50 to $100 they are looking for this way they will target MR Rolex & Gold chain man for the scams! :wink: :D

In all honesty, how would those girls know which guy it was? It could have been any of the guys shes slept with in the past 3 months or whatever, which for some of these girls could be 100 + guys.

Just because your condom broke, doesnt mean you are the only possible person. It just means your odds are that much more likely.

I wonder if Canada has these stupid laws.

Everything that was said is true about the laws. IF you feel that you have fathered a Ch*ld in CR, if I were you I would NOT..repeat NOT return to Costa Rica. You have just blown away your paradise. Because, if you are indeed papi and you go to CR, you WILL be detained. The only way you will get to come back is by posting, IN ADVANCE, one years worth of support. Let me repeat that..the only way you will be able to leave the country is AFTER you have posted 1 years worth of support for your little one. I have not been in this position first hand but, it has come close enough to home that I have done some SERIOUS investigating with people who would know. (read abogado...and not just one, I got a second opinion)

Of course, madre will need to provide proof via DNA testing. Certainly, if it's a working girl I would never believe her just on her word. If you think you have knocked her up, my advice is stay home. Forget CR and look for somewhere else to have fun.
