is jaco same deal over super bowl weekend as san jose is with the no beer sales and all...just dont hear much on here as of late at all about jaco....

This is the law:

Quote:
All sales of liquor in stores, bars, supermarkets, hotels, etc. will be suspended beginning Saturday Feb 4 and re-open on Tuesday. The Magistrados del Tribunal Supremo de Elecciones prohibit the sale and consumption of alcohol in public place the day before, the day of and the day after the elections


Since this is a Presidential election the law applies nation wide. The variable is how rigid is the enforcement out side of metro San Jose :?:

Oh, it's enforced! You can sell crack, kill someone, almost any crime you can get away with. But on the holy shutdowns of liquor they are ever vigilant and out in force. I'll be back in Jaco on Tuesday or Wednesday and let you guys know if there are any private parties.
