Tonight I was reminded how goddamn pitiful US strip clubs are. I went to Scandals (a popular local club in NYC) with a couple of my buddies to see a big booty Latina porn star (Olivia O'Lovely) who was supposed to be featuring there tonight. She was there last night, but I was helping my brother run his dance club so I was busy. She never showed tonight, I don't know if she canceled or what. There were a couple of smokin hot strippers, but mostly a bunch of mediocre looking ones, with bodies that needed some toning up.
For the most part, I was watching the lifeless and uninspired performances on stage (not that the CR strippers are great dancers or anything). But the most entertaining, but depressing, was watching them work the room after they got off the stage. First they walked by the stage area and expected some money just for giving you a smile or a shake. These guys were throwing money at them like there's no tomorrow. For $30, they will give you a lap dance. (I didn't ask, but it was $30 the last time, could be more now.) For one song, you basically sit on your hands while she barely makes any contact with you, and nowhere near the right regions. I didn't partake in the lap dance, I couldn't force myself to waste $30 this way. Luckily, the feature dancer I came to see was M.I.A. because she charges like $80 for a lap dance and I probably would've paid it.
But that's a fantasy type thing. And then there's the champagne room, I didn't even have the curiousity to ask how much. I think I may just have burst out laughing right in a stripper's face after she told me, so I didn't bother. My friends didn't believe me when I told them about what goes on in a CR strip club. After an hour, I couldn't take it anymore, I had to leave. My buddies stayed, I just left. I felt kind of bad leaving them there since it was my idea to go in the first place, but I couldn't take it anymore. In the past (before CR), I'd come home from a SC horny, but tonight I was phucken angry. 
(~57 days till I can visit Pantera Rosa again and/or Kamur for the first time).
It wasn't Scores or anything, but US strips clubs are expensive:

$7 drinks
lots of singles EXPECTED for a forced smile or simply for being acknowledged
$30? contact-free lap dance
$? champagne room (probably better that I don't know... although it'd be a good laugh)
=NOTHING MORE THAN MAYBE A HARD-ON (and that's not a given).
CR, what have you done to me? I'm ruined!!!
I refuse now to be stripped of my money this way. I rather save it to use it where it counts & helps Latinas who are much more appreciative of what we do & the $ we spend. I have been to too many clubs here in the USA where if you don't throw your money away on their trashy attitudes they get mad & even if we do spend money on them many act like we are so disgusting too them.
