First an apology. I am big enough (LH/Paco no ribbing) to admit when I made a mistake on my reaction the otherday o the CRT-X club. After chatting with a few I wanted to say sorry for my emotion ladden reaction (those who know me know that is my nature). So what I wanted to do was explain more clearly what the motivation was. It was not segregation. A number of great folks with a ton of info dont post or read much because with the success they look at the myriad of postings and dont want to wade thru and find posts of their handful of friends. As such over time they drift away .... I know we have a search function where we can search my screen-name, but what would be nice (does not include a special room etc) is like a personalized section. (Like my yahoo) Users could for example select the 5 or 10 other people they like following in their posts, and they have a special section where all the links to those peoples posts appear in one area. Just an idea and it accomplishes the same goal without alienating anyone. It would also re-inject some folks who dont post a lot - they have a lot to share as well |

Welcome back (even though I don't consider you having ever gone) Anyone can hide behind their computer and spew venom. It takes a man to apologise and admit he overreacted. Perhaps some others here can learn from handy's example. Now let's all go back to having fun (not that I ever stopped) |

Welcome back Handy and I agree with VB. It takes a man to admit they were wrong and apologize. Do I owe any apologies? ![]() Now, if we get Admin 1 to unlock to edit feature everthing will be todo bien! I thought he was just warning us, he don't play around! |

I was just warning till it happened again after the fact.... ![]() ![]() ![]() With the amount of time I already spend moderating and reading every single thread will to have the original poster delete the original thought after 30 or more replies then start going back to all his old posts and doing the same thing (NOT IN THIS CASE BUT IN THE PAST) well that is to much for my patience to handle.... In the past one member went back and edited or deleted close to 100 threads which then caused me to have to go back and delete every single thread as they made no sense.. an extra few hours work was not on the agenda this week hence LOCKDOWN.... A cooling off period will be in effect before the edit feature is restored... My cooling off period... ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for understanding |

Handy- A phoenix has risen from the ashes! What a great idea...being able to eliminate certain posters. Just think...being able to block 400 posts from someone who never even has been to CR. Or some punk who thinks he has game. Or hotel praise (nothing personal, Bill). |
