Hi guys,

:D

I just got back from CR. While there I noticed that I was catching more bits of spanish conversations than I remember doing on previous trips. Whether it be TV or Radio or in person I was catching more and more words and thinking "Hey! I (kind of) know what they're talking about," I think getting to this point in comprehension kind of opens the flood gates and accelerates learning. Seems that way anyway. So I had in mind to find a source for spanish movie rentals here in Vancouver. There probably is at least one but I haven't bothered looking. Now that I've found what I'm about to tell you about I won't need to go looking.

While visiting a verb conjugation site this morning I clicked an ad link and discovered LoMasTV. Click this link, and then that About tab to read their for more info:

http://lomastv.com/

Be sure to also click the Demo tab as well to view their own video about it. It's the third entry "yabla info: Julieta country: Argentina" It's such a great intro video that after viewing it probably any questions you have will have been answered.

The service is, at $10/month, cheap, and looks to be of good quality. As I've a busy day today I haven't signed up yet but intend to soon. As they offer a 10 day money-back trial why not?

Just thought you'd like to know about it.

All good suggestions. SAP, DVD subtitles, and beginning Spanish class go along way as well. Reminds me of the time I brought some DVDs to CR and had one tica, after our session, watch one in Spanish while the English subtitles flew across the monitor. :)

I might give this a try if not longer at least the 10 day moneyback trial. For the $9.95 it may make my 9 day probably $2500 CR trip in 2 weeks more fulfilling.

Hey, the easiest and best URL for LoMásTv is:

http://lomastv.com

the first URL that chica chaser listed (this one) must be clicked before the second one... the second one is the same as clicking "free demo" tab

Can't speak for where everyone else lives but here in Dallas, Spanish TV is every other channel. It certainly helps to learn the spanish and I'm pretty convinced the producers have a 'no fea' policy on the actresses.

In addition to that, the spanish courses on my IPOD have proved invaluable.
