Hi everyone, I am getting ready for my 3rd trip. I'll be at the SL. Have a few simple questions for the experts. Should I expect rain in mid November? I will want to call work without anyone knowing I'm outside the US. What do you recommend? Thanks, Race |

Rain will be hit and miss, November is the official end of rainy season, but one never knows, expect some. You can makes free phone calls if a VIP member at Zona Blue, If I am not mistaken, all calls show from Miami on ID in the states. Join, Join, Join...It is not very expensive and will pay for itself on the 1st trip |

As always, I'm going out on a limb here but according to what I've heard on Radio Dos and what I've read in Costa Rica Insider, the sunsets weve been having of late are a good indicator that the rainy season is coming to a close. This morning (Saturday) is beautifull. A little chilly but a beautifull sunrise with no rain clouds in site. LVSteve PS: Used to make calls by using a public phone with an ICE card you can buy on the street for 3,000 colones. Aside from them knowing you are calling from a pay phone, the folks in the US didn't know if I was here or there. |

Is it very expensive to call frm my room in the SL? I wouldn't feel comfortable calling frm ZB or from a phone on the street. RT |

This topic has been discussed many times. Do a search. Get an ICE card and use it from your room phone if you wish. Wile Coyote |
