Post subject:  George Clooney stayed at the Del Rey, or did he?
I cannot personally confirm this, not one to gossip, but was told by an airline pilot who flew him to San Jose that he and his group were headed there. I was staying at the Rey and never saw him but the buzz in the hotel and on the streets was that indeed he was there. Here is a guy that can pull what whatever girl he wants and he's at the Rey. Well maybe he is doing research for Dusk till Dawn part 2. Maybe we can make him an honorary member of this board and we acn have bit spots as extras in the sequel.

Likely as not, he was not there. Who knows. But, there is something about P4P that is exciting to some men. Whether they can get any woman in the world or not, it's the thrill. Also, I think those type of guys TRULY pay em to leave. No fuss no muss. Lots of high profile athletes, actors, politicians, musicians etc.. have been involved in P4P scandals.

#1 it is Halloween & that may explain the sighting but he has been going thru some trying times & what better why to get back on track. Really it is very difficult & frustrating for these guys to have fun hanging out & just being one of the guys. Those days are pretty much over for them. You don’t miss what you have til you lose it.

Even though they have the money & fame to do what ever in the USA it is far too risky & dangerous. Some P4P gringa would love to sneak a picture of him & sell it to the news media & who needs this. In CR many Chicas would not have any Idea who he is & I bet he would prefer it this way. He better pack a lot of Tabasco to keep the DNA harvesting under control.

I can't see any star going all the way to SJ for p4p.

I doubt he was there or anywhere near CR. The DR is considered SJ’s seedy underground.... lots more unflattering adjectives to describe it by the US media so I doubt he would make this mistake. Imagine his next visit on the Oprah Show, in front of her 90% female audience!

It was probably Latinoheat, he looks just like George Clooney when he doesn't shave.
Some people at a restaurant thought I was Chuck Norris the other night, go figure, played along and told the waiter to tell them they were in for some serious ass kicking if they asked for autographs. :evil:

I don't know... I'd guess celebs would rather poon with more privacy in Guanacaste, in some private villa with chicas reeled in from around CR.

Unless Clooney is scouting for film locations... anyway, hope he didn't spoil the chicas with his movie star wallet, which I ain't got :lol:

Zippy, have you never been to the theatre in the San Pedro mall or seen a copy of PEOPLE Latino magazine?
They know EXACTLY who he is.

I don't know if he was there or not but I do know that George is a "regular" guy. He spends most of his free time riding motorcycles and shooting hoops with his buds from the old neighborhood.

It wouldn't surprise me if he and his crew did hit San Jose for some fun. A lot less chance to be surprised by the paparazzi there.

Wilting,

So many Ticas in the outer areas are not big movie buffs to say the least & if they go to see movies it might be to see some Latin actors that really speak their language instead of the dubbed movies or text lines they may find annoying. I don't think their lives revolve around Hollywood like ours do that is one reason many of them are much thinner. :D

I have spend years in & out of CR living with some of these Ticos & Ticas not just screwing them (no offense to you or anyone else here because I just love this part too.) so YMMV but I don't think this is really naive on my part I said many not all. :D As you spend more time away from the gulch you will pickup on things like this I believe. Just walk down the street & ask people if they know this actor named ? & see what response you get.

By the way I have been to all the movie theatres & the one in Mall Terra is very nice with recliners & serve beer just what we need to stay in shape. :D

Also as far as people magazine is concerned I hope these Ticos & Ticas read better than the write as we know for a fact many are not so proficient.
