From the various maps it looks like Tropical Storm Beta is just off the Carribean coast of Costa Rica.
Any indications of this?

Need reports from those on the ground in San Jose or the Carribean coast.

Latest info from National Weather service:

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

SATELLITE IMAGERY INDICATES THAT THE AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER OVER
THE SOUTHWESTERN CARIBBEAN SEA JUST NORTH OF WESTERN PANAMA HAS
BECOME BETTER ORGANIZED THIS MORNING. A TROPICAL DEPRESSION COULD
FORM IN THIS AREA DURING THE NEXT DAY OR SO AS THE SYSTEM DRIFTS
NORTHWESTWARD. INTERESTS IN THE SOUTHWESTERN CARIBBEAN SHOULD
MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF THIS SYSTEM.

Weather in San Jose (Sabana Oeste), 4PM EDT, light rain, wind gusts about 5mph, temp about 22c

Sh*t!

Ok, these storms need to go ahead and slow down...don't get me wrong, I'm doing very well helping adjust these but if the Gulf/ Florida gets hit again I may not be able to get back to CR for years to come...

Hey Sparky,

No, I'm up in the gulf coast area right now but I could be headed down that way in the next few weeks. I know how you feel though, and I hope you came through Wilma ok. Katrina hit me pretty hard in Biloxi.

Stay safe down there,

Maboman

Update on Beta.
According to the AOL weather section, T.S. Beta will dump 12 - 15 inches on Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. It's in the eastern Carribbean now and is traveling north.
BUT, this morning in San Jose, its very sunny and bright and a bit chilly- a big improvement over the past few days. Go figuer.

PS: Current conditions are 68 degrees and fair. Barametric Pressure is 30 and rising. Thunderstorms are predicted this afternoon..
