As I posted earlier, I'm going back to SJO in August. I have two part-timers who I've been keeping in touch with - they want to get together and go and have some fun and I didn't know how to keep one from knowing about the other, and then one ended up going a tad, shall we say, psycho, so I wrote her off, but the other, was totally cool and smokin' hot, so I'm looking forward to seeing her again, or I should say WAS looking forward...

I'm driving in my car and in traffic and sort through some random papers in my car door - and I see a phone number for CR - and I think, for some reason, "Hey, that's R's number..." R is a girl at the SL who we actually struck up a friendship and had been chatting on the phone regularly and I said we'd have to get together when I'm back in SJO and she can bring some of her friends for my buddies and we'll go out and party (this was not a sexual thing - like I said, we actually stuck up a friendship). I hadn't heard from her in a short while so I decided to call her from my car. This was all in Spanish...

The voice on the other end picks up and I think its her maid... "Hi, is R there?"

"Who?"

"R... Is she home?"

"Oh, no, mi amor, you're mistaken."

"This isn't R's house?"

"No, its...." *click*

It was the super smokin' hot girl's number that I didn't recognize at first and now I called her asking for another girl, who, ironically, REALLY WAS JUST A FRIEND.

So now that my two friends bailed out on me, I stopped talking to psycho chic and I blew it with the smokin hottie... Looks like I'll be posting in the roll call room...

Mysnoatb, if she is really as hot as u say, don't let it end there. Make up some excuse, any excuse, for what happened. I'm assuming u were the one to hang up on her. This is easy, u were in your car, so tell her your cell phone dropped the call. Also tell her you were calling someone for a friend who doesn't speak Spanish that well. Although it may seem a little weak, just say that the numbers were similar and you must have been thinking of her when you were dialing the number. Use a little flattery on this one. But call her back. If you don't u look guilty. If u really hit it off with her, she will want to believe you, even when she thinks its sounds fishy. Women tend to be like this for the most part if they like u. Hell, we all are. Also, really make her feel like u are truly sorry for the honest mistake And you really want to make it up to her. I'm telling you, this works, I've used this many a time.

Call her back when you are in CR. It is after all a business arrangement. They either want to make the money or not. If they don’t need the money, there is more fish in the ocean.

Call her and tell her exactly what happened. If she starts the chica guilt trip, explain to her that she works in the business (even part time) so don't start pointing fingers. If you make up an excuse then it will still reside in her head. Put the thought to rest. If you feel the situation may be lost, what can it hurt. Take control of the situation, be the boss. It is very possible she might actually respect it.

Yes! Mysnoatb for crying out loud stop being afraid of chicas like you're a pussywhipped gringo and take charge. Call her, if she starts drama tell her you got your numbers mixed up then change the subject, to something like telling her you been thinking about her and want to see her again. What woman doesn't like to hear that. I suspect your other chica "going a tad psycho" was a test and you failed that one also, let them push you around with drama-games and they have no respect for you by the 2nd date anyway and will just use you for your wallet. I'm no master and also learned this stuff the hard way but hey it's not rocket science, women are like K*ds and dogs- always testing us..

that's the whole thing - I hate drama... even the prospect of drama. And in SJO, there is no lack of "other fish in the sea" that you can either catch yourself or go buy from the market.

Well sorry but with women drama will always be there! But you need to realize that you have the power to stop most of the the drama by how you react (or don't react) to it. A book I read about gringas said "Never tolerate bad behavior from a woman." no matter how hot she is (in fact the hotter ones usually behave much worse since they've been treated like spoiled princesses all their lives). That bad behavior is a test and most men fail miserably, they are just seeing how far they can push you and what your limits are. The more she pushes you around and manipulates you with emotions and sex the less respect she has.
