As the weeks wind down for my first trip to CR i ask everyone how bad does it get after you come back to the real world? Is it like a heroine addict at detox? Is it like eating your favorite piece of cake and find out you can't have anymore because you ran out? I have to know what you guys experienced, because I know I'll go through the same thing.

Brendan,
It's pretty bad. When you return to the US, it hits you right away. Pretty depressing, but it gets worse when you see overweight gringas being a dime a dozen in the US. And it gets worse as the days go by. Then, in the next phase you start to look at everything you buy and calculate how many sessions with a CR chica that could get you.

The only cure: BOOKING YOUR 2ND TRIP :!:

(Speaking of 2nd trips, I will be landing in SJ in 59 hours, give or take.)

-Orange

**The feeling you'll experience when you first walk into DR/BM is one for the ages.

Young gun do yourself a favor- cancel your trip, forget you ever saw this site and go live a normal life. You are playing with fire.
You've been warned.

Hi Brendan!

Returning to the US from San Jose is a shock indeed, and not just because you don't have reasonably priced P4P. Just walking down the street is different. In SJ, you could count on dozens of lovely Latinas, made up and looking good, who would smile back at you if you caught their eye. In the Northeast, where I live, catching a female's eye can be considered sexual harassment, and is treated accordingly. I used to think that it was like that everywhere.

Check into a hotel anywhere in the US. I don't care where you are, it isn't as cool as the Sportsmen's Lodge. You haven't got the friendly staff that knows your name, the eye candy or the friendly folks at the bar.

You can get through it, though. I haven't yet booked another trip, although I'm pretty sure that I will.

One thing is for sure - I'll never enter another cabbage-smelling Asian MP or call another $300/hr escort. As fas as P4P goes, I'm spoiled for life.

Bad, No-very bad. No-very very very very Bad Ass BAD!!!

Two solutions: Do as Paco suggests and cancel yout trip so you wont suffer from post trip syndrome OR book your next 2,3 or 4 trips before you leave on your first and then the pain will be lessened by the knowledge of your future trips.

After my first trip all I could think about was my next trip and it just doesn't come soon enough. After a while you will find yourself trying to figure out how you can spend more and more time in CR. Even if it mean changing you occupation and retirement plans.

other than that it feels like the pic below

Brendanowens,
Read the above posts and believe them. (especially Koppite's quote)

I'm not as seasoned as some of the other CRT brothers are, but I just returned from trip # 11 (in the past 16 months), and it hasn't gotten any easier. Actually, the withdrawals get worse and worse with every trip!!!Paco also said it well....

"Young gun do yourself a favor- cancel your trip, forget you ever saw this site and go live a normal life. You are playing with fire.
You've been warned."

You can't imagine how true this is. CR will change you, and will forever change the way you think about P4P. Do you think you can handle this???
If you're ready, go for it and don't look back. And remember to "hang on". You're in for one hell of a ride.

Good luck. Enjoy yourself. ....and before you go, say to yourself, over and over and over again......No Cien!

Brendan...

picture in your mind a monkey with the ebola virus on crack cocaine.

OK...maybe it's not THAT bad.

Leave your emotions at the airport (easier said than done).

Never pay first.

Beware of the WU/money requests after returning home. Of course, if you don't give any chica your phone and/or email address, you won't have that problem.

Treat the chicas good, and stay away from the hard-core chicas at the BM (they will approach you first).

Have a great wild time, but don't become obnoxious like many Gringos do there.

Remember..there is a difference between sex and love.

Upon your return, try to keep things in perspective (easier said than done).

Never pay first!

Pura Vida!

I feel your pain, you just have to ride it out. If you took photos try looking at them now and again. This could make things worst. If it does stop and do your best to occupy your time as much as possible.(hobbies, clubs, dancing, dating, whatever takes you mind off of CR.)

CR life-style is truly addictive. You have to try and control your emotions before it eats you up inside and you start making bad life decisions. Booking your next trip does help but you are really just giving in to the addiction as well. Hope this helps.
