Post subject:  A Blackberry or something similar

Does anyone know if a Blackberry or some other type of portable device that will allow me to receive e-mails and send e-mails will work in CR?
Thanks,

Think the answer is no. Last June, my AT&T Blackberry picked up the ICE network while in CR. The phone worked, but ICE didn't support email at that time. Dont know if RACSA does..

The answer is NO.. currently no connectivity to the various Cingular / T-Mobile networks which have cellular agreements. Their Internet connection agreement is promised last quarter of 2005.

About the same time the Pacific Coast Highway is complete.. OH YEA they promised that 5 years ago.

Another pissed off T mobile customer here...
Down in January and April, 05, worked fine, down in July...No service whatsoever....

I assume it is the monopoly causing this problem....

I am probably the last person to give computer advice, but why not just go to an internet cafe for about a buck an hour. Or, better yet, many hotels have computers for their guests for free.

I actually do that, but for things I do not want unsecure, I always travel with my laptop and stay at hotels with Wi-Fi...There are private things to deal with occassionaly you don't want share on a public computer and go throught he hassle of clearing out the Cookies and Temp folders.
