OK, guys, a question.... We have all heard about people traveling outside the US to other countries like those in Central America, for the purpose of plastic surgery such as boob jobs, liposuction, facelifts, etc... My question is, has anyone here done this or had an experience along these lines? What do things like this cost in CR? If you dont care to post publicly, feel free to PM me... thanks! -KS |

I'm 42 so I'm thinking about getting a tune up myself. I've checked into it. The prices are at least 60% less than they are in the USA. A lot of the doctors advertise that they trained in the USA, however you should check them out as best you can (of course, but I'm not sure how to do this either). For me, there's a problem....I have the money, but I have limited vacation time from work and can you imagine blowing your vacation time in CR and not being able to 'play' because your face is all screwed up for at least a week depending on what you have done to you? You have to stay in CR until you are well and you have to take it easy for a week - again it depends on what you have done. |

I had an ex-girlfriend from the States look into it. Her determination (your mileage may vary) is that-- because there is no malpractice insurance (or lawsuits) -- if the doctors completely screw up: Not only are you phucked, but you're left without any compensation. |
