I have a question about money exchange. Where is the best place to exchange a large amount of money (say about $1,000 or more)? or is it better to just exchanging as I go along? Also, does having small marks on bills still pose a problem when trying to use or exchange them? Its hard to find all perfect 20dollar bills. Thanks HAZEL |

Hey Hazel; You will get alot of different answers on this one, so it's probably a matter of preference. My preference is to exchange my budgeted cash at the Banc of San Jose, which is located in the departure area of the airport. The rate is very favorable. Please do not use the exchange booth located in the area after you leave the baggage claim section. This booth has gotten some very bad reviews. Once I get to my hotel I only carry the cash I will be spending for that day and keep the rest in the safe. This way I do not have to hassle with the ATM's, casinos, or hotels to exchange my money. |
