Where did it/they go?? There was a GREAT map by Prolijo and I found the link to it on another post but the website is not working. Any other Mongers Maps somewhere here or is the Don Gordo map the most current? Thx. |

Once again, let me repeat. I put that map up as a service to VIP members ONLY. It has additional features such as photos of all the establishments listed and my website does not have the bandwidth to handle unlimited access (UNLESS SOMEONE HERE WANTS TO CONTRIBUTE THE EXTRA MONEY TO SUPPORT MY EFFORTS AND ALLOW ME TO BUY MORE BANDWIDTH). Until then please do not share the link in the non-VIP areas such as this one, as doing so only forces me to change the link which then inconveniences other VIP's that use it. If you want to access the latest map which has even MORE exciting new features than the above link, go to the VIP area (become a VIP if you haven't already) and look for the map thread or do a search. |

Sorry Prolijo, I didn't realize it was in the VIP section. My bad. Either way, I deleted the link from the above post. -Orange |

Thanks for the reminder, and sorry. I deleted my post that gave the site address on a previous thread. |

My opinion that most of the San Jose so called monger maps that are on the internet, are over kill. Unless you know the places you want to go, they may be helpfull? If any of you mongers need to know where to go and where not to go, give me a PM. I will be in San Jose most of the Winter and would be glad to show you around. SEAHAWK |

If thats the case than my map must be a NUCLEAR BOMB!!! What makes this map different from all the various earlier map versions is that, in addition to showing you where places are located, it tells you something about each of those places. And not just basic things like rates and hours but also mini-reviews and direct links to websites and detailed reviews right here at CRT. So my map will actually help you decide "the places you want to go".
Don't just take my word for it, though. I've put up a "map tour" to check out at my website that is available for anyone. I know I've been talking about this website for a while, but I've finally got most of the bugs worked out and have started to put up some of the content at http://www.whorticulture.info. The map tour can be found in the menu under Costa Rica, but if you look around the menu you'll see there will be a LOT more there for VIP's (and non-VIP's with 30 or more posts). The password to get full access is posted in the VIP section here (VIP's, please don't post or hand this out). The reason for this is because of the limited bandwidth that I purchased and some of the rich multimedia content that will be on the site. If you're not currently a VIP member, but are planning to join at least in part because of what you'll also be able to get at my site, I encourage you to join here by clicking on the CRT banner at my site. That is one way to provide me a small return to help defray some of my costs in putting it up for everyone (and hopefully enable me to expand my site). If in doubt refer newbies to the main page which will give them info on how to register properly. It is my hope that everyone will respect my wishes on this so I won't have to keep changing the password, but if I do I'll post the new one here. So what does this new site have (or will have) so far? Some of it has been around, but I'm just putting it all together at one address.
2) The CRT group calendar (which now shows the next 3 months on one page) 3) The 1st 100 pages from the Moon Handbook on Costa Rica. 4) The collected works of Prolijo put together as a Whorticulturist Guide to CR (yet to be compiled) 5) Salsa Music: . . . . a) a primer on Latin Music (being developed) and . . . . b) downloadable samples and full songs so you can put together your own Magic CD . . . . (I had put something like this up long ago and will be bringing it back) 6) On-line video salsa dance lessons (now complete). 7) On-line spanish lessons (about halfway ready) 8 ) A primer on Costa Rican food and some recipes (yet to be developed) 9) Eventual coverage on other countries. So far I have posted a copy of Bwanadiks Rio Guide and am working on similar maps for Rio and Bangkok (badly need photos for the pop-ups) |

I pretty sure you have to be a VIP to follow this link to the thread with the password http://www.costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6142&start=40. If I wasn't so busy handing out the password to all those VIP's who couldn't find it in the VIP section, I might be able to actually get a littel more of it finished. |
