Post subject:  TLN question

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum... admin please move, if so.

I had a question about TLN (toda la noche a.k.a. all-nighters). I don't speak much Spanish, I can understand it pretty well, but speaking it is sometimes difficult.

Would I enjoy having a TLN with a chica who speaks little or no English? Part of it for me is being able to communicate about likes/dislikes to enhance the experience. Also, just basic chit chat can be enjoyable with a cool chica.

Should I even attempt it? I didn't get a chance to the last time because of some housing problems. I know during the act, there's really no much need to speak... :D

Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated, especially from those in the same boat (language-wise)...

Orange,

Bro, although this does not apply to all the kittens in Costa Rica, you can, with a little bit of effort, find quite a few of them that can carry a pretty good conversation in English. Obviously, your selection pool is smaller than the overall chica population, but there are quite a few.

No worries on the chit chat, communication, etc... you can still find one to your liking to have a pleasant TLN with.

Post subject:  Echoing and amplifying Orange's questions

This is not an attempt to answer Orange's question. Unlike Ding Dong and the real veterans here, I have not the experience to really answer difficult questions like these.

However, I have a couple questions of my own, prompted by Orange's original question.

1. Is it even a good idea to solicit a TLN, if you have no prior experience with the chica? Wouldn't it be better to test drive for an hour, and if you find that you and she are simpatico, negotiate for an all-nighter?

2. Ruff, you answered that one can find a number of ladies who speak passable english. Isn't it true that the more english she speaks, the more likely it is that she's hardcore and perhaps a bit over-experienced?

3. It seems to me that there are security concerns when one arranges a TLN. Would the real veterans here recommend against a TLN in a place other than chica-friendly hotels, where the policy is to register the "guest" before she comes to your room?

4. Isn't it true that "TLN" can mean anything from a couple hours to nearly 24? Based upon others' trip reports and girl reviews, it seems that "TLN", unlike an hour, is an indefinite time period.

Thanks in advance to the super veterans here who have more experience than I. I've only been to C.R. once (as Ding Dong so succinctly pointed out in another thread), and I've never negotiated for an all-nighter in C.R.

TIA

Every girl is different. As with all things in the freelance P4P scenario, YMMV.

The only way to tell if she will is to ask.
She might say no.
She might say yes then bail out early.
She might say yes but she has to be gone by 6 or 7 or 8 AM.

Then again she might stay and you'll have to beg her to leave.

Only way to find out is to work the crowd and hope for the best.

El C,

Some good points. When I finally decide to go for it, I actually thought that I would do it the way you (and others) suggested. "Trying" a chica out and then, if things are going very well, negotiate the rest of the night (up to specified hour). And I agree that if the chica speaks English well, chances are that she's been around the block a while. I share some of the security concerns you mentioned. Afterall, you can't fit everything into a room safe. But I hope that if the chica is walking out with my suitcase  at 3am, the night guard at SL would question her about it.

I will definitely go for it on my next trip.

Ok, Here are my two colones. I am a TLN guy and it is mostly what I pursue. I actually like to get to know the girls and spend time with them. When I get tired (if I get tired) of them, I just start all over again.

Here are some thoughts in no particular order:

1. I like to get to know the girl 1st. I usually invite them for a drink, to dance, for dinner, lunch, whatever I can come up to. If the girl is in a hurry, then she will be in a hurry to leave the room. This has been true each and every time. I no longer waste my time with any girl who is not willing to hang out with me socially before we decide to move forward. Gettig to know the girl before negotiating also gives you a sense of compatibility.

2. During the "getting to know you period" I ask several questions... do you have K*ds? how old? who takes care of them? do you go to school? etc. etc etc. These have been the most basic excuses I have heard when a girl decides (suddently) that she must leave early.

3. When I decide that I like the girl. I tell her plain and simple what my intentions are. I am as clear as I can about my expectations. It includes, what if off the menu, how many times will it be enough for her, at what time would she leave. Can we do breakfast and then go back to the room, etc etc etc. I also let her know that this is the agreement. I tell her that I will pay at the end and that if she does not accept these requests, she is not the girl for me. I let her know I have no tolerance for breaking the pact (although they don't know that I am actually linient on this).

4. One just got to be careful about the girls and look for signs that they are giving you lip service. The #1 sign I have observed is the fact that they want to go to the room ASAP. I am never in a hurry, so this immediately raises a red flag to me.

I love TLN, in fact I will sometimes keep the girls for multiple days, and I seldomly have any problems. Just be specific, open, and in the lookout.

I hope this helps!

El Ciego,

are you still feelin a little salty? 8)

You are one of the best posters at CRT, please make peace....

As far as 'veterans'.... I am not interested in how many times a member has been to CR or anywhere else, so much as I am interested in what they have to say, generally....

As far as this board, it is the link between the gringa-land misery we are usually in, and the Disneyland / candyshop of CR and central America...
Let's do what we can to keep it hoppin... it keeps me going sometimes...

Under Par...great advice...

I know that I'm a GFE guy, which I suppose extends to a TLN guy. I like to know the woman living under the hair; as you might guess, outward appearances mean less to me than they might to others.

Your suggestions are golden. Thanks.

King Solomon... I'm not "salty."

Actually, I've been told I'm kind of sweet....

Must be all the pineapple.

Orange;
NEVER trust a guard in Costa Rica to be looking out for you, the gringo.
He'll probably congratulate the chica as he hold the front door for her.
