I confess, I just sent $100.00 by western Union to a chica!! I broke a personal rule, (NEVER SEND MONEY), but I rationalized it this time, and hopefully, 1 time only!! This did not go to a prostituta, but my special girl, who I have not yet had sex with. (That transpires in late Sept. ,when I return)... I was talking with her last night, after several drinks, and I opened my big mouth...therefore, I followed through today...100. plus 15. fee....SINCE NONE OF YOU GUYS ARE GETTING THIS, I VIEW IT AS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT, than sending working girls dinero...She is a student, 22, and trying to find a part-time job, but she cant find anything...she has been to all the tiendas on avineda central, she is trying very hard, when she could just spread her legs...I think its the right thing to do, help her out just un poco....

It's all relative. I'll spend a cien any nite of the week for drinks for myself and friends--with no intention of getting my bean snapped, and at least if it feels good to you to help someone(whether they are scamming you or not),do it- you may benefit in the long run. It's a cien gamble--I've played worse odds with no long term gain. I wouldn't make a habit of it, though.

Hey there broseph... hold on now... i'm you're friend out here... I don't know how things work between you and and the people you consider amigos... but in my world if a guy can't take a little light hearted ribbing about revealing some of his sensitive side... well then he's taking things a little too seriously.

It's been my experience that when someone asks you your advice on something (although i am aware you aren't soliciting my advice per se), they have already made up their mind as to what they are going to do, they just want to see if you agree with their decision.

Obviously you are very fond of this girl, and your post read as more of your thought process as to how you justified sending this girl some cash. I thought it was a little ironic that just as I read your post, that song came on the radio.

Don't get defensive and take it as a attack on you or her.. it's your hard earned money and i could care less how you choose to spend it.

I very well may be a noobie asshole... in fact i'm considering a name change already.. but man, i've seen my share of guys who get snowed by a girl who can do no wrong in their eyes (the words to 'when a man loves a woman' come to mind), in this country and abroad.

Who knows... she may be the best thing that ever happened to you

but man i bet at one point even John Bobbit said that about Lorena to some of his buddies

Hopefully WHEN and not if,she asks again for money you wil realize that it's not going to stop unless you put a stop to it. You took a shot at being a nice guy and helping her out ONCE. I'm sure that WHEN she calls with another tragedy you will see it for what you really know it is. I could be wrong,but I doubt it.

Since you are an experienced monger and a Costa Rica veteran I am going to accept that you have read this girl correctly and she is what you believe she is.

The frightening part of that is that is raises the very serious possibility that ALL chicas you meet view you in one light, the rich gringo meal ticket.

for money. I just felt that it would help her, as things are always tough for most of these girls down there. She has tried to find a part time job, and she does not complain to me, but after doing this, Will she ask me for money in the future? I shall see!

It has only been since November that I have been giving my (discrete non traceable) eMail address to the chicas.

In that period I have had 7 quality GFEs and a like number of repeat providers.
In addition to that another couple dozen TICAS have that email address.

I have had all but 1 GFE ask for money.
I haven`t kept an exact list, but it seems like all the rest have asked also. :shock:

The GFE exception has been my experimental case.
All that I have done for her is unknown to her.
(Job, scholarship, etc).
Every time I am with her I am preaching self subsistence.
I think she will be a successful woman one day.
The first time I think she is scamming me her life will sure change.
In the mean time, PURA VIDA!
