Just finished uploading the new and enhanced Monger's Map to the VIP section, pic #1292.

Quick summary of the changes:

1. Vastly improved and expanded street grid - additional streets added in NE and SE sections to incorporate Hotel Rincon, Cafe Mundo, Pantera Rosa & La Mansion.

2. Completely replaced the Oasis area street grid with new and clearer version.

3. Updated and corrected much of the hours and pricing information for the venues.

4. Some changes in the legend color-coding to hopefully make the different types of venues stand out better.

Unless and until Prolijo decides to upload this version to his web site, to print it you'll have to first save it to your hard drive and then pull it up and print it from there. I was able to get a full-size clear print this way.

Anyway, have at it - just do me a favor and don't call it "Prolijo's Map" okay??

Damn good map buddy. See you in Sept at the party.

If a newbie cannot know the score after getting to this board, with all the info here, there is no hope. :D

Jagged,

Sorry to yank your chain, but actually the next upgrade is already in the works - and this one will put all the previous ones to shame. Hey, I've got to have something productive to do while I put in time at this personal charity of mine they call a "job". :)

Since you're in the process of upgrading the map again, I would like to make some friendly suggestions.

1) Include in map the 10 best eateries in and around SJ. You already have a few good ones. Why not conduct a poll to get the top ten. While you're at it, you can remove the fastfood joints IMHO.

2) Include in the map all the parks/plazas/museums/theatres.

3) It would be good if you give have an insert for D'Pelufo like you have for the Oasis area.

1) Great idea for a poll of the best 10 eateries-leave the fast food places, some gringos are not adventurous when trying new food.

2)Isn't this suppose to be a mongering map? Unless you can't eat it, drink it, buy it or phuck it.....leave it off

3)Good idea

Just my 10 colones worth!

Thanks for the suggestions. Larger parks and plazas are included in the new version, but I'll probably skip the museums, theatres, etc., since these can be found on standard tourist maps.

Fast food restaurants have already pretty much been eliminated in the current version. I will start a new thread and ask if there are any more hotels or restaurants anyone would like to see included.

I'd love to include street area inserts for all the off-site locations, but space considerations prevent me from doing so. I'd really like to keep it all printable on a single page, though I'm tempted to go to legal size.

GR
