WOW what an exciting game. In a near must win game,OUR BOYS from CR scored a goal in the last 30 seconds to keep their World Cup qualifying hopes alive. (and I don't even like soccer) |

I was glad to see Costa Rica win... I have been in San Jose for a few days and felt somewhat of an anti-gringo sentiment in the neighborhood were we are staying. It took me a while to figure it out, but the US team beat Costa Rica 3-0 about a day before we got here. Now everything is back to normal

I was in Puerto Viejo the night of the USA game. EVERYONE was watching the game. I was a bit concerned about what reaction there might be after the game. But everything was cool afterwards. I was watching the game in a bar and trying to be very low key. But I could hear a gringo at a nearby bar screaming Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooal as the US went up 3-0. I hope he survived, I think.... |
