I was sitting with Vegas Bob last trip in the CRT bar area. Bob was commenting on how well The Lurker does and said specifically he does so well because he works at it. Well said and true.

It is highly unlikely to find a GFE if you wait for a chica to approach you or have your back to all the action. You just have to hunt for them.
Don't sit at the phuckin bar with your back to all the action. You are just going to be beating off all the hardcores hitting on you.
You like to Gamble?, No problem, Just be prepared to get away quick if you spot a semi-pro. I don't care if you lose the hand! You like hangin' with you buds? Do that elsewhere in the morning or afternoon. Between 7 and 9 it's all business to me.

I know, you just popped a Vitamen V, you have a fistful of cash, you are looking at a bunch of hot women and you are getting anxious. Calm down, I guarantee you will get laid. The question is how good will the experience be?

Where do you usually find the semi pros? I'll tell you where you won't find them.

1. Eliminate all of the chicas hanging at a table together near the Sportsbook. Forget them, semi pros don't hang in groups.

2. Slot Machines and Gaming Tables.. For the most part forget them, too. These girls don't have time and money to waste gambling. They only work part time and they want to accomplish their objective.

3. Upper bar area... Now we are on to something. I personally like the little corner in the mid upper bar area or the central column area. But, wait you say, I see lots of hard cores in those areas. I know, but how are they dressed? Do they look like a text book model from the Puta tienda?
Are they hanging with friends? Are they groping or touching you aggresively? Semi Pros do not dress like putas, do not hang with groups of friends, and will not usually approach you unless you make the eye contact and invite them to talk with you. Semi pros dress like the average chica walking down Avenida Central.

3a. Just below the bar near the rail not far from the phones and casino
cage. Possible, but not likely. Too much out in the open.

3b. Near the bathrooms. Possible, but not likely. Again, too much out
in the open

3c. Sitting near the sportsbook alone.... Yes. If she is dressed right
immediately conduct interview.

4. Lower Bar where CRTs hang out. Sometimes yes but usually no.
A good place to conduct the interview I already posted and buy them
a drink.

5. Standing alone near the Sports Book. Yes, sometimes they are reluctant to enter the upper bar area.

6. Best time of Day.. In my opinion, between 7 and 9 pm. Gives them a chance to finish at a decent hour. Late at night, possibility you have sloppy seconds or thirds.

7. I know what you are thinking now. What if I don't find one and it's getting a little late? Simple solution. ask an experienced CRT guy to help you with someone he has had experience with. There are usally a few goods one in there every night.

8. You do need to circulate because there are three ways to get into the DR. Experienced vets will pounce on the semi pros so you need to be ready.

9. How about Key Largo.. Sure, lots of good talent in there. Just stay away from groups of chicas and review point #3. Generally, the best time to hunt is 10:00 to 11:30.

10. Afternoon Hunting... I have pulled some really nice semi pros out of the BM in the Afternoon. You have to be picky and move quickly when and if they how up.

11. OK, you think you found one. Great, get her away from the BM to
close the deal previously posted. She does not like the DR and will feel more comfortable at a little restaurant nearby.

12. I know there are always exceptions. But, in general, if you follow these guidelines, your % of satisfaction will increase dramatically.

All good points. I have especially had good luck in the afternoon around the Sports Book/Cafe area. Always alone or with one other and usually dressed nice (not slutty). They never seem to approach you. As a matter of fact, if you see a girl in there and you are not sure if she is working or not, go ask if she would like a drink. In the course of conversation, she will ask if you want company. After a while, you can usually pick them out quite easily. Just be warned, they are uaually never cheap. They want to go with one per night or afternoon.

I read the Kings post as to the locations in the BM about 3 times to memorize the places, while not sure from memory during my 1st and only time in CR, were these locations are. The sportsbook and telephones plus little corner are a mystery but when I get back in July, I'll be scrutinizing all those places.

On my first trip to CR and first to the BM, I sat at the front bar with my back to the tables. This was at 5pm after not seeing anyone at the front tables where I was told to meet other vips. Too early I guess for that day.
Anyway I got pinched, grabbed, my leg rubbed, crotch rubbed by 3 or 4
girls before I even got my beer. I got rid of them by saying I was to meet some friends over at the tables in a few minutes. That wasn't easy
by not knowing Spanish. I didn't see anybody at the tables yet but decided to head that way. Just as I was getting up I got approached by this cute little tica. We bargained, $50+, and off we went to the Presidente. I was lucky. The only negative is that she wanted to leave after completo which was less that an hour. A good bj and F so I let her go. Iwas very satisfied after releasing the first heavy load. The preliminary from all the girls caressing and flattering me made me extra sexy.

Telphones are near the cashier for the tables. Sportsbook near the Coffee bar area not far from where you would check into the DR.
The little corner is mid upper bar (can't miss it). It's the only corner up there (my favorite place because they can sort of hide there)

King Costa: Great post and great advice. I am amazed when I am there and see the gringos sitting in groups around the bar with other guys....no chicas in sight. I am thinking, what the F is wrong with these guys. Why sit there and drink a beer and watch the game on TV. You are in the Blue Marlin, for God's sake. Get some pu*sy.

Exactly! It's as if they still think they are back in the States. That is perhaps
forgivable if they are newbies on the first night of their first trip, but after
that, it's inexcusable. CR ain't the States! Granted, they are used to the
Gringa 'games'/attitude in the States, but they should certainly 'catch on'
after the first night.

One sure way to know if she WAS a semi-pro, is if she goes home at midnight, or back to Blue Marlin. Oh, and the other, semi-pros don't shave their panochas. That's the one downside, because I hate a hairy bush .....

Only hooked up with one semi-pro on my last trip, and she turned out to be my one an only dud of the trip, though I don't really blame her - we just didn't click at Hotel Presidente, and I feel that she was doing her best to try to make me happy.

OTOH, had a great time at both Zona Blue and New Fantasy, as well as the pros I picked up on the other three nighs at BM.

And I suspect that there are semi-pros at BM in the late afternoon / early evening after they get off work and before they have to be at home, though I have no proof of this. But I'm going to be doing some serious research on this on my next trip (next weekend). If it goes poorly, I will have practiced my Spanish, and if it goes well, I will have practiced my Spanish and scored with a semi-pro.

Sounds like a win - win proposition to me.

Just got home from a week in SJO and following your advice and my instincts landed one GFE after another, grabbed several that were not dressed too slutty and hanging alone, and you are right, you have to search them out. I only had one bad experience this trip(the Romanian) but talked to a guy before I left that had her for 80.00 and said she was great, maybe I got her on a PMS day

Lee said the other night that I have reached a milestone in the learning curve- looking for QUALITY instead of just quantity/looks...
I spent 3 hrs last night with a Dominican, and this was not just phucking but making love, damn what a night, and she was not the only one in the last few days that I really " hit it off" with... Sure, it was for the money, but when you get an affectionate one you really have fun with, make each other laugh, and it's obvious SHE enjoys YOUR company- a GFE in the making... Oh well, at least now I know and have gotten better at picking out the semi pro's. When I was in Rio i picked them out almost every time (maybe cuz there were more there than in CR so it was easier) so my experiences there were much more positive.

One question I have is why to avoid girls in groups...does this mean that all girls in groups are all hardened pro's?

I have found that it simply tells you that they have spent enough time in the BM to make some friends. Semi Pros usually don't know many of the hard cores and don't want to meet them.

As I read in an earlier post in this thread, in Rio it is easier to find a GFE, but that does depend on where you look. In the termas, it's all good. Never had a bad date ther. Working the beach, Help Disco or Mia Pataka for the most part is all good , but you do have to be a bit more selective.

This is a classic post. But where is the sportsbook. I didn't see any sportsbook in the DR in spring 2005.

Would be great if someone give post a floorplan of the bottom floor of the DR!
