San José Airport Now With Free Wireless Internet
Making the experience more confortable for travellers, Alterra Partners, managers of the Aeropuerto Internacional Juan SantamarÃa (AIJS) announced yesterday the implementation of wireless internet service at the terminal.
User of the airport can now connect their laptop computers to the wireless network installed at the terminal, making AIJS the first airport with wireless internet service in Central America.
Best, the service is free to all passengers in the departure area of the airport.
Notwithstanding the problems that Alterra and the government have been having, Mónica Nágel, executive director of Alterra, said that making the Alterra is committed to providing more services to travellers with more shops, money exchange, flight information, expositions for national artists and artisans and the internet.
Nagel said the wireless connection has been available since the beginning of May in the testing stages, with the formal announcement being made yesterday.
Some 2.9 million passengers use the Juan SantamarÃa International airport to come and leave Costa Rica each year.
