In a previous post when someone asked about boots. I seem to remember that the bootmakers are also saddlemakers? If this is so, does anyone know if they are capable of making a western style saddle? On all my 4 trips to CR I have only seen english saddles on horses. Thanks Walt |

Your right all I have seen on the horses in CR have been English saddles or a small racing type saddle. I know that one of the best saddle makers is in Ciudad Quesada. I have been in his shop a couple of times, and I think I remember seeing a western saddle. |

Sorry, the name escapes me now (it's in a guide book, Moon, I think) but facing the church from the plaza you go right, up about 3-4 blocks and it's on your letft. You can't miss it the smell of leather is abundant in the air. Hope this helps! |
